Hi guys. If anyone could help me out here I would really appreciate it.

I have tried accessing the btc-e site this morning and this evening from my home computer but cannot connect to the site, however, I can access with my mobile phone and work computer. Is it possible that btc-e have blocked my home IP address or maybe malware/virus causing this issue??

All other sites including Gox are working fine for me. Even if it starts working again on my home computer I would be very reluctant to log in. I don't run bots or anything like that and just have a small amount of BTC and LTC on the site.

Any suggestions on what the problem could be and how to resolve it I would appreciate it. Or even if someone could post the btc-e.com email contact details I will send them an email.

Thanks in advance.

Are you in a VPN of some sort? The popular VPN, like Ipredator are well known to sites like BTC-E.

more or less retired.

I would send them a support request. Maybe you're IP is shared or has been caught doing some not so nice things.

Or you could try clearing your cache and cookies.

Cleared cache and cookies etc. Unless the missus has been at some dodgy crap which i'd seriously doubt then my IP should be clean. Just the usual downloads from piratebay. Maybe I should get Tor for that. Can I rule out malware?

I'm having the same issue.

I attempt to access the site and it just fails to load.  If I try to access it through TOR, it loads (it says the TOR IP is banned, but the page still loads)

I also attempted to access it through my phone, and it loads fine as well

Strange one. Can't think of any reason they would block my IP. Have you contacted btc-e support and if so what was their response?

I send them a support ticket through my phone with the problem and my IP.

The entire response was

Quote
122.149.154.61 in a white list

Ticket Details
Ticket ID: AZL-839-64243
Department: Other
Type: Issue
Status: Closed
Priority: Critical

Helpdesk: https://hdbtce.kayako.com

I still can't access btc-e.com

Is a white list a good thing?  It took em 23hrs just to say that.

I'm still confused.

If your IP is whitelisted it means you should not be being blocked, e.g your ip is no longer on the black list being blocked and has now been added to the white list, allowing full access to the site.

I was right.  I cant access ANY cloudflare site.

I had to sign up to them just so I could contact them and find out whats going on.

I currently can't access...
- btc-e.com
- butterflylabs.com
- weexchange.co
- cloudflare.com

this is bullshit, why are they blanket banning 122.149.x.x ?!? Thats 65,000 IP addresses!!

iirc, im in that IP range, makes sense to me.. once i get home, i'll check all the other known cloudflare sites to confirm, mention this to btc-e support, they may be able to do something with their host.

Well, im not as lucky as you with this, i can get to all other sites mentioned there, but btc-e
and yep, my IP is in the 122.149.*.* range..

I will send this info off to support at BTCE, they might be able to do something..

All of those sites listed are working again... except btc-e.com of course

I've been talking to cloudflare are they asked for a screenshot of the time out page.  strange.

btc-e asked the same thing, but i thought it'll be useless, so i gave them a firefox debug of the site trying to load, probably useless to them

I've been emailing cloudflare, they go from trying to be helpful and saying everything looks good... to what looks like a supervisor jumping on and saying "no comment"

He's the email convo (It goes from most recent to first message)

Code:
I know you think my IP had been blocked by them. I've asked, and they say its on the whitelist, not the blacklist.

You guys could suggest anything else I could try?

Did you want me to do a trace root?

Thanks,
Andrew Dobbins

OK. As whois shows, btc-e.com is using CloudFlare -- we don't comment further.

Could it be an issue with BTC-e.com

Quite a few people on bitcointalk.org are having the same problem.

Thanks Andrew,

I am currently not seeing any errors for btc-e.com against your IP in our logs. Currently the site is resolving for me from my location:

https://www.dropbox.com/s/e83wcp8ts6ia6ov/Screen%20Shot%202013-11-15%20at%203.53.06%20PM.png

Are you still unable to access this domain? The screenshot your provided earlier is not our block page, but a server not found error generate from the browser when the IP address of the host server is not known or cannot be reached.

I can access butterflylabs.com,weexchange.co & cloudflare.com again

But I still can't access btc-e.com (I've attached a screenshot)

My current IP is 122.149.150.147

Can you provide your source IP, domain in question, and a screenshot of the page you are seeing?

I've been blocked outright. It's not just one IP being blocked, it's a whole range.

No captcha, just a time out.

Thanks,

CloudFlare has several levels of security, ranging from IP security to browser inspection to our Web Application Firewall.

Sounds like either you are using a non-standard client or there has been a lot of activity from your IP that has raised your threat score.

Are you being blocked outright or challenged, with a CAPTCHA? Going through the challenge helps improve your threat score.

G'day!

For a while I've been trying to access BTC-e.com and haven't been able to. I've emailed them and they say I'm not blacklisted. I was able to access the site on my iPhone no problem.

It's taken me a better part of a week, but I figured out that I can't access any cloudflare websites from my home computer. I've tried resetting my router to get a different IP, and still can't.

I think you guys may have banned an entire bunch of IPs. My IP is currently 122.149.150.147

I can't access butterflylabs.com or weexchange.co either.

To top it off I had to create an account here just so I could contact you guys.

Please help!

-Andrew

The last guy felt like a bit of a dick, or is it just me?

*sigh*
I don't know who else to talk to.  btc-e don't really reply to emails as their english is terrible.
