BEWARE OF SCAM AIRDROPS AND BOUNTIES!

Hello guys it seems that there are more and more scams circulating nowadays. Mostly newbies fall for it. This happens when people sees airdrop they easily signing up for it. You know guys to much airdrop is not good you have a high risk of being hack. Like the Dentacoin Telegram Airdrop the first time i see that i check the Official Dentacoin Group and admin told me there is no airdrop! And i knew that you can only earn dentacoin from dentavox by answering the surveys that is last feb 2018 till now it is active.

This is my own method to detect scam airdrops and bounties.

1.) The first thing is check the website and the Team Profile verify if they are real people and has knowledge with crypto and the field of expertise. In most cases a scam website only shows the token sales and what wallet address you need to send your money.

2) 2nd the most common tool for scammers are Google Form they used it to pretend that there is an ICO airdrop this is commonly seen in twitter. They are asking for contribution.

3) Next is the Telegram Channel / Telegram Group in most cases newly made are scams. Based on my observation you can say 100 % scam if the group is a supergroup with restrictions in adding bots only admin can add bots if you see any airdrop channels promoter bot then for sure marked it another scam.

4) For me whitepaper , twitter are not the least priority to check. Why? They can easily made it up.

5) And also never share your MEW private keys they will steal your coins with no hesitation.

The best thing is to always verify the airdrop and bounties you are going to participate with.

I will also list the most legit Airdrop and Bounties Platform to be aware of it.

As for friendly advice, you should only airdrops ICO that is managed by some respective bounty manager here in the forum, and joining airdrops, you shouldn't expect too much from it.

Airdrops are fairly safe. It's shady ICOs you should be aware of. Other than that, great tips!

I do follow this way and use separate set of social media accounts, especially for airdrops, which are deemed higher risk of scam than bounties.

Agree with you we also don't spend time for that but people miss that scam bounties are a big problem as much as a scam ico is because you pay either your money or your time, they are same.

If there is a bigger fraud story than the Thingschain airdrop, please let me know. Even though the airdrop was bot driven, somehow the admin in charge of distribution (@garic_ling) managed to exclude thousands of members for “cheating”. There are 2 questions I’d like to ask this garic character. 1) Are you seriously proposing that literally thousands of members ALL committing fraud? 2) How can you not respond to reasonable requests for assistance and then when someone has exposed you for the fraud you are(he blatantly lied on public chat that the email he was giving out was current and active- this is not the case, try it for yourself: airdrop@thingschain.network.); remove them from telegram chat (what do you have to hide?) The upshot? This garic guy has either made a humongous mess up of distribution of tokens OR has committed fraud himself by knowingly withholding tokens for himself knowing that there would be a burn after the ICO…INVESTORS STAY AWAY!!

Well you can't really say whether the ICOs are scam or not, I have seen many bounties with long threads on BTT, but guess what they turn out to be scam in the end!1

Well you can't really say whether the ICOs are scam or not, I have seen many bounties with long threads on BTT, but guess what they turn out to be scam in the end!1

Right but we can filter out more than 50% of those projects which by going through their social medias. If the devs and admins are available and online plus the idea and the team is good, then they can be trusted. Always look out for all the socila medias before doing any airdrop or bounty. It'll save a lot of efforts and time.

For Airdrops, i feels it's no point doing so much research specially because Airdrops don't pay much. The amount of time you will invest on researching, you might as well click the -  like facebook, like twitter, follow linkedin, join telegram button.

For bounties, probably yes!

 It seems nowadays more scams are spreading. It happens because if people seeing any new airdrop the are signing up easily.
There is a high risk of being hack in bounties and airdrops. There some steps you can follow aswell-
1. First, try to get some knowledge about the particular which you are going to join and search for their website and read all the steps carefully which you are going to follow.
2. Check the airdrop form carefully whether it is valid or not.
3. If you find anything scam-related thing on telegram then as soon as report the admin of the particular airdrop channel.
4. So the best thing you can do always try to verify the airdrop and bounty before joining them.

I want to contribute two things:
- New projects, nowadays, are very difficult to successfully raise massive funds. Consequently, bounties of those projects are less 'profitable' (if someone think they can get profits or easy money from bounties). Personally, bounties are one of the best ways to waste your time and your hope. I don't deny that sometimes I joined bounties, but I very rarely do this.
- If you join bounties (or any new platforms), you should use your thrown-away or any emails that is not your main one. If you register in vulnerable platforms, you will be safe if you register with your thrown-away emails that you don't use for your main exchange/ bank accounts. It is obviously that there are risks of malwares or attacks on your devices, but at that point, I would like to warn risks for your main emails (if you use them) to join bounties.

I am case I would definitely say doing all this steps is not worth my time. Airdrop is they paying to a negligible amount for their promotion. Majority of the times the airdrop are fake. By saying majority I mean 7 of 10 are fake, left 3 airdrop may send you some small amount of funds and to get this small amount if you are doing a research of 10 airdrop and even after the research you are not 100% sure about the outcome then how worth is it?
