Is the pricetag on the invoice correct?

My anger against what is wrong in the Bitcoin community is productive:
Bitcointa.lk - Replace "Bitcointalk.org" with "Bitcointa.lk" in this url to see how this page looks like on a proper forum (Announcement Thread)

This is BFL we are talking about. If they set it incorrect would that cause the delay?

Because i remember that they said (back in 2012) that they would display the correct price on the invoice, they won't underestimate it.
If it is incorrect and they found it, yes, it could be the problem.

My BFL unit sat in Canada customs for 5 days apparently. I received it and checked my tracking status, and it was apparently still in customs even though I had it. You will likely receive it before your tracking status changes.

Huh? I thought BFL paid the import tax. I've not heard of anyone in the UK having to paying import tax on BFL items.

Expect to pay import VAT (20%) at a minimum.  I think I had a small amount (like 1% or so) import duty on top of that.  Plus the ParcelForce customs processing fee, of course.

They'll contact you with details of how much to pay but it will take a few days.  Expect the whole process to take around a week - maybe a little more.

Mine took approx 2 weeks.  They send you a note in the post to say they have it and that you owe import tax (20% of total value).  You can pay this over the phone or online I think.  Once you have paid, it is delivered the next day!!

Nothing to do with BFL.  It's just the way it works when you import anything from outside the EU.

Received my order from BFL today. It took 2 weeks in total with the last 8 days in the UK with customs. It did at least arrive the next after paying the fees.

It should normally take about 1 week, to speed the process up you can call the delivery company (if you have a tracking number) and find out where your parcel is.  It will normally be sitting in a box at your local distribution center while someone thinks about writing you a letter.

When you find out where it is you can go and pay/pick it up yourself with some id. I shaved about 5 days off the inefficient usps/royal mail process when i did this.

Total costs will be a maximum of 20% + 10 quid for royal mail. You normally get robbed on the highest amount either the invoice value or if you have it insured, the insurance value.
