I like the look of this new way the dev is taking this coin. It is very similar to Solaris which I'm also in with the way the masternodes work and PoS. I don't own any of the old coin so I'll wait until I know the swap is complete and then purchase some of the new Chili coin. I hope this project will be just as successful as Solaris and others that are alike. Good luck dev!

Can we have a visual real time count-down of the swaps so we the community have clear communication of :
- How many old coins have been swapped
- How many new coins issue
- What is left to be burnt (old coin)
- What is left unused new coin (to be reassigned or burnt)

Why 20:1? seeing there is more of the new coin shouldn't it show in this ratio?
Why less than a month to swap?
Is there any plan to swap again for those who may not have heard about it due to the very short time and low key publication given to the swap?

What happens at the end of the swap?
Would there be two chilicoin?

What would be happening to the chilicoins from the swapped old blockchain?
How do we know it is not being taken from us and sold back on coinexchange to the community? (worse things have happened)

Without the above questions answered and a determination to be transparent then this whole thing is opened up to being called .......

If there is no clear plans to burn the coins then be very weary. I happen to know of a project that swapped coins and resold the coins  instead of burning it. Once bitten twice shy. I wonder why the dev here is not responding to the simple question:

1. Why is there no count down to show amount of coins to be swapped - so we know how many coins to be burnt
2. What is the logic for taking more and giving back less when the total supply is now greater. The swap should reflect this.

Greetings Chili lovers.

We have taken on-board the community feedback in regards of the coin swap from v1 to v2 and re-evaluated the plans set-forth to better align with community interests to truly revive this coin and it’s community.

Extending Swap Period
We initially set out a 1 month swap period, which in hindsight is too short of a time for all possible parties to get informed about the revival of ChiliCoin and get the time to perform the swap.

In this regard, we are extending the swap period by additional 2 months, allowing 3 months for interested parties to swap their coins.  

The new swap finish date is: 05/07/2018 (05/July/2018)

Unswapped Coin Burn
After the swap period is finished on 05/07, the core team will perform a coin burn and completely remove the ALL unswapped coins from circulation.

The completely removal of coins from circulation is possible because transaction fees are destroyed when a transaction is made with ChiliCoin.

Transparency on the coin swap
As some users have pointed out, there is no transparent way to see how many coins have been swapped over and how many are left from the pre-mine to support the swap.

At the current moment in time, there are not enough stakers on the network to ensure stability and smooth operation. The core team have split up the pre-mine into multiple address and are staking the coins to ensure stability and block generation.

Once we can confirm that the network is sufficiently safe to operate without core team runnings the nodes, full pre-mine will be moved into a single address which can be monitored in the public blockchain.



Lastly, we are preparing the Discord server and will open it up soon.

I think the dev has made the right decision to extend the coin  swap for an extra 2 months as this should give people a lot of time to get their Chilicoins swapped over to the new coin. I also made a tweet on Twitter about this to let people know as the more people that know the better as we don't want people coming here later down the road complaining about they didn't have enough time to swap. So its best to spread the word everywhere you can dev.
