Is there a way to increase hashrate mining on a PC? Doing nothing but opening minor and go, I get roughly 300m/s, can I increase this or is it already capped? (GPU) Cheers!

Have you tried overclocking the GPU? It might damage it, so be careful when doing so.

No not yet, wanted to check if there was any other simple newbie way I might have missed. Plus, I have 2x GPUs, does it automatically (GUIMiner) use both? Thanks.

Depending on your gpu make & model you can look and try different settings that cgminer provides. What are you mining: btc, ltc or something else? On Windows or Linux.
Look for the mining hardware comparison chart to get ideas.
Messing with your gpu settings can break it.

Hi,
Realistically CPU and GPU mining aren't anywhere near worthwhile now.
At 300 Mh/s you may make 20 cents a day which won't come close to paying for the 150w+ needed to run your GPU. You can get an Asicminer USB block erupter for under $20 which has the same hashrate as a fast GPU but only takes 2.5W of power, but even with this you are unlikely to break even IMHO.
Have a look on ebay for "ASIC Bitcoin" or "Bitcoin miner" to see some options.
Cheers, o999.

I actually dont have to pay for any energy usage so that isnt an issue, but i understand that its a snails pace, and at those numbers more for fun and seeing how much I can output.

Free power is always good! I'm currently mining at ~96 GH/s using a pair of BitBurner Fury cards (~150W total). Since the last difficulty increase to 511M, I mine about 0.09 bitcoin per day (about $US25 at the current exchange rate). This works out to about 26 cents per day per gigahash, which means if I was still mining with my Radeon 7950 GPU I would get around 10 cents per day (perhaps 0.0004 BTC). Anyway, cheers and good luck!

I used to open GUIminer twice and select a a different GPU in the drop down menu for each one. Right click the Windows desktop and select AMD Catalyst Center then Overclock with AMD's Overdrive feature it shouldn't work without breaking it. Like people say mining Bitcoins with GPUs is no longer profitable. You'd be better trying Litecoin.

I think it has to do with your -v flag settings.

If you have a ASIC, it might be a little profitable. But if you have a GPU, its no longer profitable unless you mine Alt scrypt coins.

delete your guiminer and setup cgminer a lot of threads for this one scrypt is "profitable" as of now, even without "free electricity"

Yes. Or even pools that mine the most profitable coin and payout in BTC, like hashco.ws or multipool.us However, for speculative purposes, it can be wiser to mine a coin that you see it has future and hold it.

GPU mining bitcoin is dead, you can choose other cryto like Litecoin, feathercoin etc.... The only way to increase your hash further is overclocking. But it would consume more power and more heat..... Good luck ...

You'll probably make more bitcoin as a results anyway.
