My old account Snail2 got hacked. I wrote to Theymos but as I see he's very busy. I know I have to prove that Snail2 is my account, but I don't know how. I couldn't find any how-to about the process. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

Is the address 1BF4jonmLRCtfcA2mxFBZgyRpdHviCTK5M mentioned in your account's signature actually yours (i.e. not changed by the hacker)?
Then you could prove your ownership by signing a message with that address.

I think for this to be waterproof theymos needs to verify that the address was in that signature long before the hack, to ensure that you (Snail21) are not in fact the thief who stole the Snail2 account...

That's fine! Yes it is my address, and easy to check it as this address is on Seals payment list since August.
