I think if you want to make a profit in the short time, you can go with bitcoin because the price is always changing in every time and although it's down, it will back to increase soon. so you could still make a profit from trading bitcoin. I am not sure with litecoin because this coin is for a long-term investment but if you want to try to buy litecoin, then you can do this too but analyze first before you buy any litecoin.

Although, Litecoin is also a very good project, but I would prefer to buy bitcoin. As bitcoin is the main cryptocurrency and it would be so in future too.

In my opinion you should buy both of these coins Because at one side the bitcoin price is going increasing rapidly without any restrictions and at another side no chances for new negative news that can come because already many negative news and fud entered in this field since the last month , but now everything getting back at his place . If you will buy bitcoin then surely in small time you will be able to make get better profit in small time but if you will buy litecoin then surely in my opinion you will needed to wait for small long time as a hold for long term trading . Otherwise if you will investigate both of these coins then you will find that both the coins have same technology and better potential in the cryptocurrency market. |

Though closely similar in functionality, bitcoin should be the first choice of investment for long term. For short term investment maybe litecoin would be a better option.

Since you already mentioned that you don't want to hear people saying "50% each", then I would say go for BTC. Keep that in mind that it is the price of BTC that actually drives the price of other coins up (the trend is actually followed most of the time). Or why not invest like 75% on bitcoin and the rest on LTC? This way you won't be missing any opportunity.

Everything is based on the money that you can invest and if it is long term since it is almost the most profitable today, personally I would do it in buying Bitcoin since that is what would leave you a better profit margin and it is also what most of the people is investing, since its security is higher that's why I recommend buying Bitcoin for its high price. |
