It's a kind of tough question especially at this moment that Bitcoin is in Woods for such a long period of time. Although litecoin has also not performed in an impressive manner. Quite a dilemma but I think I will go for Bitcoin because despite the bad outing it's luck could shine any moment.

I bought some LTC near the high last year, every time I think maybe I should average down the market tanks again. Some investments are just bad and the loss should be taken. On the other hand my BTC position was slowly accumulated pre and post last year so I have a much more stable investment there. Point is, while the coin choice does matter of course after that it is how you manage your investment resources that really makes the difference. Don't blow your entire resources on what you think is a dip. Take a taste and keep fiat in reserve.

It seems that someone really wants to lower the price of BTC, so in my opinion the best solution is to invest in something less attractive to whales attacks. If I had to choose, I would choose LTC.

If you want to earn more profit then you should choose BTC to invest  in the long term, Btc is the best at the moment and there is no reason not to choose BTC.If you want to get more profit in the short term, then you can choose to invest in Litecoin.

I think many people underestimate LTC. in the long run, it can bring more profit than Bitcoin. but there are other altcoins. for example NEO

That's probably true actually. I tend to say that it's Bitcoin that's always underestimated by people, then again we've always got those experts and influencers telling us about Bitcoin going to 100k or even 1 million, so I guess there are plenty of overestimates as well. But you don't see this with Litecoin. Absolutely no one I can remember ever saw it hitting those ATHs and certainly not so quickly.

Litecoin always interesting because of its admitted uses that aren't super ambitious. But Bitcoin is always my chief buy.
