Isn't bitcoin worth nearly $300 per coin?

If this is the case then how would you convert your coins to cash? I thought these virtual coins were only used for things online and not able to get money out of them.

There are exchanges where you can buy and sell bitcoin at the going rate.
Various other ways of selling them too.

So you can't just sell the amount you have. You have to have enough to put it up for selling in the trade I guess.

Why wouldn't you be able to sell what you have?

depends on where you are. In the USA with a coinbase account you can cash out BTC and it will deposit USD into your bank account. You do need to setup and confirm the account which is a lot like doing it for paypal

Unfortunately it will cost you more in electricity then to mine with your GFX card and unfortunately all mining HW at this stage is very risky with a projected 30% increases every fortnight, especially from Jan
next year when the top end machines arrive and get plugged into the system.

Faucets?

Mining on your CPU/GPU is like digging the grand canyon with a spoon and you are in a race with people that have fleets of earthmovers.

You can dig but you are better off trying faucets. Do some searches here for lists.

Tahe the amount of money you send going to one movie with soda and popcorn, and buy that much in BTC every week instead.

Don't pay a lot of attention to how much BTC went up or down over the last day or two. Week over week it will grow plenty.

What I've been learning to do it start small with the earning sites, and invest in various bitcoin websites, likes casinos...

It's nice since I started earning the bitcoin, is how much it has gone up...

There also a lot of sites selling bitcoins for giftcards...

Well I have been looking more and found a faucet site that is called coinreaper. So I decided to try it out and it would seem that it is all over the place some of the sites go to coinbox.me and others go to who knows where. Does anyone know of a good faucet that has all sites that go to the coinbox.me site? As it seems like the easiest way unless someone knows of a even better site.

most of the coinbox faucets have a link to another coinbox faucet you can follow that chain quite a while. also do some searches of these forums
