I am looking to invest in Bitcoins by selling off some Krugerrands I own.

What would be the best way to do this? I work in the Bullion industry in the UK so I can sell them and then purchase Bitcoins with the proceeds? is there anywhere I can exchange physical cash for bitcoins?
or is it possible to sell them directly for Bitcoins? if so who/how/where?

and as I am a Noob to Bitcoins any advice to ensure I don't get ripped off?

thanks all

There are a few people in these forums that buy and sell gold for bitcoins. Look here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=51.0

But if you work in the bullion industry, you are probably going to be able to get a better price for the gold through your own connections. Buying bitcoins is probably not difficult in the U.K., though I don't know the best way. My guess is that you should go through Bitstamp or LocalBitcoins.

you can trade cash for bitcoins in person by localbitcoins.com (check out the rep of the sellers)
or you can buy bitcoins with a SEPA transfer to bitstamp or other exchanges.
Or you might try to sell your krugers for btc on bitmit.

probably the most safe route would be buying on bitstamp.
