Fair warning - that's a huge, heavy 3-slot card.  Love the total overkill for a 5850, bet it clocks pretty well Wink

:s 209 isn't worth it. Thats just too high. A 6870 can produce 330 megahash for the cost of 155(http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102948)

409/209=1.95
330/155=2.12

A 6870 is by no means a good card at its current price and it still beat this 5850.

Those rates are both well above what a average miner can expect. 5850S normally wish on at 360mh/s and 6850s at 213mh/s

I quoted the 6870 not 6850. Those are both the extremes of the card so its not like I wasn't equal to both cards. In the best case scenario thats the ratio you should expect from each and it should follow a similar pattern as you clock the cards less and less.

Where did you find a 6870 for 155? The newegg link is for  175 unless you're including the mir which you can't if you're ordering multiple cards since only one qualifies.

I am including the mir but there are multiple cards at 155 with a mir.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102913 (this ones 159 which is still a better ratio)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814131378 (159)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150506 (159)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150521 (159)

edit: I'd also like to point out a 6870 is slightly better that a 5850 on power consumption. I feel like thats negligible though.
