Some false news are so good that it can persuade a person to believe on it. That's what can media do, Even though without substantial evidences these media people/company would broadcast it for the sake of the news. But it's easy to say than done, especially when the news is broadcast by a reputable person or etc.

People cannot stop reading bad news, because they have set up a price where they are going to sell their coins to avoid running in profit and the worst thing is people actually believe in these bad news, and this is bad news for the industry that is why we have this situation.

Umm yeah they should not listen to them, as price of bitcoin matter a lot so when the price become low so people who are not aware of the bitcoin features, start to say that it is time to sell and no need to sell your bitcoin for the sake of those fake news spreaders. Hope for the profit and wait till the price of bitcoin will high once again, I know in future bitcoin will appear as legal currency, so they become quite for sure, let them say what they want to say in future they will be regret for their false news about bitcoin.

It's very sad that bitcoin's price can be easyly taken down just with fake news, but eventually, the truth will come out and bitcoin will regain a much better price with the right news.

Nowadays fake news will spread very fast before we had only newspaper and national television news to know what is happening outside the world, but now with the help of social media and number of news channels, any news will come out just within a minute. Nowadays people have become more aware of the news they hear about bitcoin. Most of the ones who get trapped in these kind of news are the ones who just believe everything they see on the internet and believe that its true rather than researching a bit of their own but those kinds of people are way too less as many of them have learnt from their mistakes and verify the news before taking any actions. News like these will always exist and continue to be in the future it should be our own responsibility whether or not to fall for those FAKE news.

I agree with OP, all this news in attempts to manipulate the market. And for some reason the sources still maintain their credibility after getting debunked multiple times. As for listening to the news in general while trading I'd consider the phrase "Buy the rumor and Sell the news". I also feel like fake news sites should be punished as for the sharing of false news then that is where it gets a bit tricky as how would the user know they are sharing fake news.

I remember the "china banned bitcoin exchanges" news perfectly, the price dipped really hard, idiots panic sold all the way down to $2000-something, then the price pumped to all time highs short thereafter. People never understand that Bitcoin cannot be killed, only manipulated, but on the long term floors become higher, this is why they release all these news in the press, they know they can't kill it, only become big players by owning more than most people, which is why naturally, idiots panic sell and these coins go into the hands of the smart ones, which are building big bitcoin stacks thanks to your fear.

I stop listening for a long time. First time i listen to it leads to my losses in my investment because i follow them instead of my own research. Now i only read and watch news but i don't believe at all because sometimes it will only stress me and thinking a lot of my investment.

The current "crash" is caused by one bad "news" after another. A lot of them are the false or twisted truth.

For example, today, once again "China Full ban crypto". What the... Why is it causing another crash?? Why is it even "news"?

It was already banned in China back in September 2017. All trading platforms suspended trading in September. Anyone from China who still trade Crypto must be using foreign platforms. Sure, they reported that China added all crypto exchange sites to Great FireWall. So what? These people have VPNs! When I was in China, everyone who visits foreign sites use VPNs. Yes, China banned VPN as well a long time ago. So what? Everyone is still using it. Just like ignoring the traffic light is illegal in China, but at every intersection, you will see people ignore the red lights... the truth! Just because it is "illegal", does not mean no one will do it.

So just this (one) news of China banned Crypto, it was repeatedly used to crash the Crypto market (4 or 5 times). Do not fall for it!
1. Summer 2017, China banned ICO.
2. September 2017, China banned crypto trading.
3. November or December? China became unfriendly to crypto mining (Large-scale miners moved oversea already)
4. January 2018. China banned websites of foreign crypto exchanges. (VPN!!!)
5. Today, "China Full Ban Crypto"... (Really?)

So what is next?

"China really full ban crypto"?

Stop spreading this nonsense. What's done was already done in September 2017. Nothing has changed ever since. NOTHING really changed in the last 4~5 months.

Same goes for Korean and Indian news. South Korea did not really ban crypto. Just one guy wanted to ban it. It was not approved, nor implemented. So far they have only added regulations that people can no longer trade anonymously. So what? Didn't Coinbase, Kraken, Bittrex etc. US-based platforms all require our IDs and photos?

India also did not ban crypto. Just a minister made some unfriendly speech toward crypto. No real "ban" whatsoever.

From the look of it, someone or some groups are trying hard to make the prices go down. The sad thing is, people are falling for it. The same China "news" was used on 5 occasions to cause the market crash while nothing was really changed or happened. Korean news was used on at least 2 occasions.

The bottom line is, let's just ignore all the stupid "news". Use our brains. Not hearsay from yellow journalism. It is getting annoying to have every little "news" to impact the market price.

I never listen to bad news from countries around the world talking about bitcoin bans. Many bad guys have taken advantage of rumors and do some scared people.The rumors always cause the price of BTC to go down

The real truth is that you can’t avoid seeing the news online today, that’s the truth. These days Google now channels news to you according to your interests; if you’re used searching about things that has to do with food, you will mostly get news on that, and if you search about cryptocurrencies you will mostly get news on cryptos, there is no way you’re running away from it.

The best thing is just to hold on to what you believe and not listen to what the media has to say. As long as you know that Bitcoin can be trusted, then stick to it and stop panicking when the news says something bad, you’re very sure that the price will go up.

It is true that in present scenario we can't avoid listing to news regarding Bitcoin or other cryptocurriencies because each and everyone is on social media,but listening to fake news and believing in them is just stupidity.Many people say that is is a scam which is totally wrong because I have experienced it myself and i got profits out of it without any problem or trouble.We all know when anything get popularity whether it is a person or any thing, media or a common man starts spreading rumours or fake news regarding that things ,so instead of believing in them try to get proper information regarding that and decide what you want to do. It is NOT true that there only was a speech, but according to my sources, there was a policy decision forbidding banks from servicing crypto accounts and businesses.

So, rather then "stop listening to false news", we need to ask which sources can be trusted, and how do we know that they can be trusted? That, IMHO, is the real question.

I do not trust such news because they confronts what I see. China is the biggest producer of mining equimpent. There some biggest mining factories and pools they. How can be crypto prohibited there.

even though I'm not alone in the absence of my cover and I hear on the tv because most of the fake news is just annoying as well as the bitcoin they make in the scam story as long as the number of bitcoin sounds like there are so many users here for you money even the wrong way people work as we can as we may be mistaken for bad news so that you may not just believe in knowing the truth before you take care of something.

Media just want one thing- viewership. Since they get more viewers for negative news, you see only negative things there including that about bitcoins.
