If you're looking for a mining card, the 6870 isn't the best way to go for price.  As far as single slots, only ones I know about are the 6850 and 5770 single slots... surely there are others too.

I think I remember hearing about a single slot 6990 but with a card like that it doesn't really matter if its single slot because you cant really fit more then 4 cards (cost effectively) into one case anyway.

since the 6990 is dual gpu dual pcb i can't imagine anyone making a single slot model. a 6950 or 6970 perhaps i know there was one single slot 5830 as well.

Yea I can only imagine the price lol. That and the total wattage used I believe is around 330 for each so 7x330=~2,300 watts so like I said earlier it isn't really cost effective because you'll need multiple super expensive psu's.
