GPU Mining/Masternode Hybrid Question

I am passionate about the future of crypto, am technically capable and want to find something long term that I believe in and can HODL and grow! Profit would be a nice bonus too.

- ASIC Resistant/Proof
- GPU/CPU Mineable
- Has or will have Masternode

The way I look at it, if someone is going to mine something, why not combine Proof of stake with Proof of work to improve the integrity of the projects blockchain. Thoughts?

Also, any good places to research (even speculative) projects?
