Hello I have a question about merit points
I received 6 points  and  I Read that when you take a point you will take 0.5 points of Smerit
I saw a good publication Well deserved merits I want to give them
my question is :
When I give it a merit point
Will I have 5 points?  Or does it go from the Smerit

I think if your merit decreased after you send merit to the other, there no one will send they merit.

No, You do not lose your Merit but you will lose 1 sMerit (Spendable Merit). If you receive 2 Merit, You will receive 1 sMerit. You can spend that sMerit to a helpful post or good quality post.

No your merits stay but you also have sendable merits which stands for smerit. Every 2 merits you get 1 smerit which means you can send them to whomever you like or choose to. But your personal merits never go away they stay.
