PayPortal is a privately-owned company, established under the Indian laws in 2011 by experts with more than two decades of experience in the international payment services industry. It is a payment solution company with expertise in mobile recharges, utility bill payments and money transfer. PayPortal’s centralized platform connects service providers including banks, mobile operators, digital TV operators and utility companies with public through a wallet. The PayPortal wallet number is linked to a mobile number of the wallet’s owner.

To further develop the existing PayPortal platforms, the developers have adopted the blockchain technology. Adoption of the technology will ensure that the trusted platform of PayPortal can help its customers embrace the blockchain technology for their day to day transactions.
In the current system of cross-border payments, there are two key issues, which are the costs of transfers are very high, with intermediaries charging a steep fee and the time taken by transactions which are on average at least two to three business days. This is why PayPortal is leveraging the blockchain technology for implementing a cross border money transfer service between Indian migrants living abroad and their families in home country.  With its advanced expertise in domestic money transfers, PayPortal plans to realize this part of the project based on the own blockchain and crypto currency PPTL Coin.  The PPTL coins will be acceptable as a means of payment and will be convertible into Indian rupees for the final leg of transaction.

In the system adopted by PayPortal, distributors will play the major role in PPTL coin transfers. Distributors will buy tokens in the OTC (over the counter) market or crypto exchanges and make a smart contract transfer to the Company wallet. The transaction contains the value and PayPortal wallet number of a receiver. The PPTL value will be credited automatically to the wallet owner who continues to use PayPortal financial services.

Payportal has all services available in one wallet, while most of the competitors are focused on either recharges or domestic money transfers. Bill payments across India become available due to implementation of Bharat Bill Payment System by the RBI that requires complex integration and compliance with the requirements that Payportal has been finalizing. Cross-border money transfers will be unique as our competitors do not provide such services. Payportal is more customers oriented in terms of quality and has IOS and Android applications available at App Store and Google Play while some competitors use only SIM based technologies or web based interfaces.
