Stop focusing on that damned $20,000 level. It was hype and speculation having lead to the market reaching these levels. If Bitcoin doesn't reflect being worth that value, why should it go up there? The only solid bullish triggers to see the price increase significantly are LN being no longer in beta, or some financial instruments backed by actual coin supply. Till that time keep your expectations on the lower side.

I am happy with current market, where unlike other greedy people here, aren't looking for yet another empty bull run ending in the same manner, and that while knowing that it is quite profitable to act in such scenario. What we need currently is a slow but steady increase that's maintainable, and it seems that we are building on that right now. If we close the end of the year at any level above $10,000 we have done well.

Bitcoin price is unpredictable in end of this year because many experts are predict the future possibilities of Bitcoin but 50 percentage of the peoples are expecting more than 30k USD in this year at the same time 50 percent of the peoples are afraid in Bitcoin future. This will going to peak in end of the year so we must trust the Bitcoin.

The possibility is there however it is something that is very unlikely the price is once again below 7000 dollars and there is not a reason for the price to go up that much, I know that we all like the possibility of obtaining great profits but I think that we need to be realistic that price is probably not going to be reached again until the next year and it may take even longer.

I totally agree that price only reached $20k because of too much hype/speculation and greed. I wouldn't mind if Bitcoin would reach it again, but it would have to be at par with its true value. At first I didn't believe about the bubble thing, looks like I was wrong.

My opinion is probably not but there's no way of knowing what will happen with certainty, no one could foresee the price reaching 20k last year and it did. Right now most people's predictions are quite sensationalist, my expectation is more that the price is going to be fairly stable around the current price, perhaps with a slight steady increase towards $10k over the year.

I doubt it can reach that height this year, tho some people believe it could. In time... probably it could and will, but hype that lead to such price rising was really strong. I doubt another hype like that could happen this year, but there are other things that could lead to price rising so... At least its not impossible right.

When we think about bitcoin price in the future we must always believe that everything is possible, last year was great year and if we don't see some huge rise this year it will be happen in next year. What can lead to price rise ask yourself, and you have all the answers around. Where bitcoin was two years ago, where it is now, where will be in  next two years? Its progressing, going forward and backward, but look prices in every April before this year? Bitcoin made a good run, will it continue to do that, its very possible! For now I give bitcoin 50-50 chances to recover previous ath in this year, I will rethink about this odds in month.

This year has a different graph of the price, unlike last year that the price continuously increases.

Bitcoin is unpredictable we don't know if the price could still reach near $20,000, but since bitcoin had experienced before with burst price increase and drop past years ago I think that bitcoin can reach $20,000 maybe this year. So, let us wait for this coming June or July if we can see any price movement change and reach $10,000 again expect that the price will continue to rise.

If no one will spread FUD or adding a new regulation that can affect the price value then the price of bitcoin continuously increases.

One of the reasons why the price decreases it's because of FUD that is why people are selling their bitcoin before the price drop and now they are using any well-known blogs and website they can easily spread FUD's.

So it's hard to know if the price can still reach $20,000 or not.

Its really hard to tell right not if $20k is still possible this year, But yeah patience is what we need right now.
Let's not rush this good market, and stop putting too much pressure on bitcoin, let our time realize this good technology.

I think that's extremely unlikely. We're below long term trends and moving averages that have acted as support for years. We broke the parabolic advance; the 2017 rally is over.

The market created lots of bagholders in the upper end of 2018's range. They will provide resistance for some time. The hype cycle is tangibly over too. This needs a long term consolidation before ramping up again.

Best case scenario: bull trap to $14,000-$16,000. Then more correction.

We can't really say if we are going to see bitcoin hits $20K this year because of so much factor. For one, the interest amongst investors started to go down as well, they somewhat lost interest. And second their is a crackdown globally, that's why we are having a hard time to see the price goes to where we want it to be. With that said, its still 50/50 for me, will be very happy to see $20K touch again, but I would be disappoint if its not because I'm going to be a long term holder this year.

Without a trigger, it is not going to happen this year. The basics are still strong, and the user-base continue to grow. But that alone is not enough. If one of the Bitcoin ETFs get approval from NASDAQ or NYSE, then it can act as a trigger.

Right, we need something to spark the investors to renewed their interest on the market again so that we can see bitcoin making a break out and pick up. But the question is what could be that trigger? We have seen that the G20 outcome has very minimal effect, although its really very positive.

Can Lightning Network really be the one that we are all been waiting for? I guess the devs are really testing it on mainnet to be sure that its working as designed. Or maybe a new nation will adopt bitcoin, just like when Japan enters the picture, suddenly the landscape has changed.

As it was said many times, bitcoin price is unpredictable. We can only guess, and my guess is "no". Bitcoin may rise to $20k in 2019, but we would be lucky to return to $10k in 2018.
