Price of Monero was $100 only a week ago. So it can be $100 again this week. We will not need to wait until the end of the year for this.

This altcoin with high anonymity is still undervalued, but it is waiting for the right time to show that it is much better than Bitcoin Cash, for instance or even Litecoin. Developers deliver every half year. Protocol gets upgraded, beside that they there are updates that polish bugs. Progress is constant. Most developers work fro free, some gets paid by the community donations. Same with a research lab, that keep researching new possible technologies that can get implemented in Monero or to increase its privacy or to keep privacy but reduce transactions size/time.  Monero is one of coins with highest development rate and for this Monero did not need any ICO or a company or a premine or anything similar. It depend on voluntary work and community donations.

If you’re talking about holding make sure you can take for atleast 1 or more years to prevent speculation more than a normal market movement I have seen many investors saying they are ready fo holding but if they just saw a little price drop what comes to them are selling and they forgot the word Holding anymore this is not the proper way of treating our coins.
But Monero is one of the best choice for holding because this has a potential and may bring good profit in the years to come

my advice if you invest altcoin like monero don't forget to invest Bitcoin. at least there is holding 50% bitcoin of your capital. Remember Bitcoin is the King of Crypto

I don't think it's still a hot alts. now all the focus has been on TRON, Bitcoin SV, Litecoin, Ethereum. Investing in monero will now make you capital constrained and unable to invest in good alts.

You also have to understand that government is after privacy coins and that's one drawback for Monero though. And that is to me, one factor that I will stay away with this coins. Too much issues and problems might arise in the future is government just decided one day to focus on privacy coins and that could be the end, in my opinion.

The tendency with new projects is towards KYC, and governments have been getting increasingly concerned about money laundering and other criminal activity. Whilst privacy coins are certainly useful and important, I think they may suffer in a future regulatory crackdown, so I'm not convinced in a long-term hold for profit.

I don't doubt the potential of Monero for now. the price can pump at any time. however, for now I might prefer bitcoin. well, monero might be very good when the price can approach the price of $ 100, especially when we have it in large quantities. but, I think it will all start with bitcoin.

Firstly, the guy above is not talking about the potential of Monero but the future of privacy coins in general which I believe he's right base on the stand of the governments and some exchange which was once decentralized are now implementing KYC(IDEX as an example).
Second, the pump in price will start with Bitcoin but if you watch and study the previous price of crypto market during last  Bitcoin halving, you'll know that Monero was among the top coin that follow the steps of Bitcoin price.

Yeah monero is still popular alycoins which me and a lot of people holding that coins, I believe monero is best coins for long term hold when the bullrun monero will also uprise their price value.
