Now the market is taking a breather and mtgox has had a lot of coins withdrawn - the deprecated value of mtgoxUSD is most apparent.

I see no disparity. Unless you're naively referring to the $40 difference in price. They're different exchanges with little to no arbitrage opportunities. Also pay attention to the sell wall in your left image that is suppressing the price.
