Αν και δεν είναι τόσο για το Bitcoin αλλά γενικά για τα crypto και τον χώρο που βρίσκεται σε ένα γενικευμένο bubble νομίζω ότι αξίζει να διαβαστεί αυτό εδώ το άρθρο. Και όταν λέμε bubble δεν μιλάει για την ισοτιμία αλλά για τις τεχνολογικές αυταπάτες στο τι είναι ένα blockchain σύστημα και το τι πραγματικά μπορεί να κάνει.

Αρκετά καλογραμμένο άρθρο αν και δεν συμφωνώ ότι στην Ελλάδα μπορούν ποτέ να αναπτυχθούν μεγάλα data mining center και αυτό λόγο των κλιματολογικών συνθηκών. Η ζέστη στην Ελλάδα ανεβάζει και το κόστος του mining καθώς χρειάζεσαι ενέργεια και για την μείωση της μεγάλης παραγόμενης θερμότητας από το mining hardware.
Για τα finetch startups όμως συμφωνώ απόλυτα. Το Bitcoin και γενικά το blockchain είναι ένας τελείως νέος τεχνολογικός χώρος και οι χώρες που θα τολμήσουν να μπουν πρώτες στον χώρο σίγουρα θα έχουν ένα μεγάλο προβάδισμα όταν η τεχνολογία αυτή γίνει mainstream.

* The structure would place cryptocurrencies within existing regulatory regimes and give big Wall Street investors a less risky way of investing in the fledgling asset class.

Citigroup may have cracked the cryptocurrency code.
The New York-based bank has come up with perhaps the most direct way to invest in cryptocurrencies without actually owning them, according to people with knowledge of the plans. The structure would place cryptocurrencies within existing regulatory regimes and give big Wall Street investors like asset managers and hedge funds a less risky way of investing in the fledgling asset class.
Citi has developed an instrument it's calling a Digital Asset Receipt or DAR. It works much like an American Depository Receipt or ADR, which has been around for decades to give US investors a way to own foreign stocks that don't otherwise trade on US exchanges. The foreign stock is held by a bank, which then issues the depository receipt.

In this case, the cryptocurrency is held by a custodian and the DAR is issued by Citigroup, the people said. The bank will alert the Depository Trust & Clearing Corp, a Wall Street middleman that provides clearing and settlement services, once it's issued the receipt, one of the people said. That lends an important layer of legitimacy and gives investors a way to track the investment within a system that they're already familiar with, the person added.
The project is a collaboration between the bank's capital markets origination team and the depository receipts services team, the people said.

It's unclear what stage of development Citi is with the project and when it will launch but the bank has already begun to reach out to potential partners. A Citigroup spokeswoman declined to comment on the bank's plans.

Citigroup is one of the largest issuers of ADRs in the world. The bank began issuing depository receipts in 1928, and has won numerous awards for its offering, according to its website.

Wall Street has tread carefully with the burgeoning cryptocurrency market, which is vulnerable to wild price swings, repeated hacks of exchanges and wallets, and a stigma that it enables criminal behavior.

As a result, Citi has held back from earlier efforts to participate in cryptocurrency markets. Unlike firms like Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs, Citi did not immediately clear bitcoin futures trades for its clients and it's kept a lower profile than some of its peers. It also banned clients from making crypto currency related purchases with its credit cards.

But it has been hiring in the sector. The bank was seeking a vice president and senior vice president to explore risks associated with money laundering in bitcoin, cryptocurrency, and other nascent payment technologies, according to LinkedIn job ads posted earlier this year. Bitcoin has often been associated with activities such as money laundering.

αν και δεν είναι ακριβώς άρθρο για το Bitcoin αλλά νομίζω αποτυπώνει το τέλος αυτής της παπάτζας ότι μπορούν να δημιουργηθούν private blockchains η ότι μπορούν να δημιουργηθούν blockchains χωρίς token.
Και όχι μόνο υπήρχε κόσμος που υποστήριζε αυτές τις ανοησίες αλλά όταν τους έλεγες γιατί κάποιος να δημιουργήσει ένα τέτοιο blockchain και γιατί να μην στήσει απλά μια database σου την έλεγαν και από πάνω και σε κατηγορούσαν σαν άσχετο

το site δεν το γνώριζα αλλά σαν πρώτο fail η σελίδα τους δεν έχει ούτε ασφαλή σύνδεση αφήνοντας φόρα παρτίδα σε τρίτους τα στοιχεία και τις ip των συντρόφων που θέλουν να επισκεφτούν την σελίδα τους και να διαβάσουν τα άρθρα τους. Ούτε καν το σοσιαλιστικό lets encrypt δεν έχουν αξιωθεί να βάλουν
Τώρα για το άρθρο φυσικά καταλήγει στην ίδια παπάτζα , ταυτόσημη άποψη με το σκληρό πυρήνα τραπεζιτών και της παγκόσμιας χρηματοπιστωτικής ελίτ όπως ας πούμε ο Dimon της JP Morgan και μιλάω για το "Bitcoin is Bad, Blockchain is good"
Αυτό δείχνει και την έλλειψη κατανόησης το τι είναι η συγκεκριμένη τεχνολογία.
Τώρα για το χρήμα θέλω να μάθω τι στο διάολο πιστεύουν γενικά οι αριστεροί ότι θα χρησιμοποιούν οι κοινωνίες για να ανταλλάσσουν αγαθά αν δεν χρησιμοποιούν το χρήμα. Μπανάνες?
Γενικά αν έχετε παρατηρήσει το Bitcoin είναι κόκκινο πανί για τους απανταχού κρατιστές αυτού του κόσμου από την σκληροπυρηνική αριστερά μέχρι την φασιστική δεξιά (δείτε δηλώσεις της Λεπέν για το Bitcoin). Γιατί οι κρατιστές ακόμα και οι τραπεζίτες που ανέφερα πριν έχουν κάτι κοινό. Ότι απαιτούν τον απόλυτο έλεγχο της οικονομίας, του χρήματος και φυσικά του ατόμου για το "γενικό καλό" μας

Κατά τη γνώμη μου ,δεν εχεις αδικο..το bitcoin ειναι πολυ ανατρεπτικο ,δημιουργει μια νεα οικονομικη πραγματικοτητα

γράφει και ένα ιστορικό για το ποιος η ποιοί μπορεί να κρύβονται πίσω από την ταυτότητα του Satoshi Nakamoto. 

Για μένα οι δύο ποιο ενδιαφέρον περιπτώσεις είναι η σύνδεση πολλών μια ομάδας ατόμων με τα τρία άτομα που δύο μήνες πριν την δημοσιοποίηση του white paper Neal King, ο Vladimir Oksman και ο Charles Bry κατοχυρώνουν πατέντες που αφορούν ξεκάθαρα την τεχνολογία του Bitcoin. 

Το άλλο όνομα που το είχα ακούσει και αυτό όταν είχα πρωτοασχοληθεί με το Bitcoin είναι ο Ιάπωνας μαθηματικός Shinichi Mochizuki. Αν και ποτέ δεν κατάλαβα τα στοιχεία που οδηγούν σε αυτόν εμένα μου αρέσει περισσότερο σαν ιδέα να βρίσκεται πίσω από το Bitcoin

άλλη μια πολύ καλή ανάλυση από την bitmex για το mining αυτή την φορά και τις επιπτώσεις που έχει η χαμηλή ισοτιμία. Πάντως σήμερα διάβασα ότι η Bitmain έχει αρχίσει να επηρεάζεται από την κρίση καθώς έκλεισε τα γραφεία στο Ισραήλ και το development team που είχε εκεί απολύοντας όλο το προσωπικό της.
