tag them for gods sake

4) (UNTAGGED) (last update: 14th of May)
This user not only translates in German, Dutch, Romanian, French and Croatian, but is also a ban evader: Reference. Not sure whether this is enough go kick him off this forum, but I hope it is.

============================================================================================

3) (UNTAGGED) (last update: 14th of May)
Another multilingual translator: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=2001498. Translates in Indonesian, Romanian, German and Croatian. He translates Discord as something else: his thread, official thread, his first paragraph is almost a 100% copy-paste of Google Translate: https://www.diffchecker.com/p9cH7xe4. This is his Romanian thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3310490.0

============================================================================================

2) (UNTAGGED) (last update: 14th of May)
Found another one with the help of another Romanian translator. This time, it is as blatant as it can possible be. This individual, https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=2001459, translated ANN threads in Romanian, Dutch, German and Russian. This user was exposed in a topic I created for a similar case, https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3290098.msg34792677#msg34792677.

EDIT: He translated an ANN thread twice in one day, obviously, in different languages...On the 17th of April.

============================================================================================

1) (TAGGED)
The person in question is https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1843240. He labels himself as a Romanian Translator which never translates ANNs, only WPs and websites in order not to get caught. This is his portofolio: https://docs.google.com/drawings/d/1xvDi9FgB8aRQ8x3xFpZHNvop2ryF4T8wJcREfDO_x-E/edit

On his 4th page of posts from his account (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1843240;sa=showPosts;start=60) you will see posts from the Indonesian local board:

He has never posted anything on the Romanian board and he is definitely using Google Translate. I am a translator myself. I will go ahead and contact all the bounties he has participated in (or at least the ones that are managed by decent BMs) in order to let them now about the poor quality of his work and in order for him not to receive his pay.

Some of his work, any Romanian can feel free to check:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1RoHq-IwdCeqVCleGTSK4P-lCd_z-WD2z/view
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1nUPxnDNry1qQOPFFt_HOvTv21Llj-kki/view
https://drive.google.com/file/d/19YFVYr_E8KEt15J9VngenRqDjLRu02yg/view

EDIT: He has also stolen work from others. So far, I have found one WP from his portofolio to be belonging to somebody else. Coinlion's WP has been translated by a reputable Romanian translator, https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1198725. His ANN is here:https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2401265.0. Believe me, if he translated the ANN, he surely translated the WP too.

EDIT2: Another stolen work from the same Romanian translator above. Gimmer's WP. This is the bounty ssheet of Gimmer, you will find user SergiuHD in the Translations Tab: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1ljqFF3RxSoZCIYC-pN6U2ibGvYfO88LcIpQHjX0SJJ4/edit#gid=1440437890

EDIT3: He has also applied for a Korean translation...Also, even more stolen work from the same SergiuHD: bitrent, retainly, paypro, rebellious, real, lamden, bitcomo and addap. I have digged through his shit and found out that he translated for the following bounties: disciplina, cardium, storweey, native-video-box, moneytoken, dysnomia. I will now go ahead and contact the BMs.

EDIT4: He has deleted 3 pages of posts he has made. All of them were related to Romanian translations.

Fuck this dude

Yeah at first glance looks to be guilty. I'll take a look more in depth later on, but this seems to be very popular scam right now and it's probably not too outrageous that some of these scam attempts are the same person. Just looking at the reputation section there's several of these types of scams going on.

What baffles me is that he applied for some projects that I wished to translate..I have also seen other good romanian translators being rejected because this dude farms bounties.

Anyway, he pissed the wrong person. I contacted every single bounty he participated in, but also bounties he applied for. Justice sweet justice

No, he only applied for it. Haven't found anything translated by him in Korean.

However, I do find it unlikely that he fluently speaks Romanian, Korean and Indonesian...

Not sure how legit this is, but I am bumping the thread. The two gentlemen above have yet to be tagged and are still reserving translations in various languages.

Another multilingual translator: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=2001498. Translates in Indonesian
-snip-

I can confirm that his Indonesian ANN translation was done by Google Translate (just like another Google Translate powered "translators" out there. Sadly, some of them were Indonesian too). I've reported it to my local moderator.

Just because they use google translate it doesn't mean they aren't native speakers. The google translation used by that guy was almost perfect, many translators nowadays use google translate to generate the text and then just take out the mistakes, it saves time. But it does look suspicios nonetheless.

lol no. You don't use google translator and then take out the mistakes.  Roll Eyes
You do not do a translation word per word, you have to give a meaning to what you're translating.
Whether they're native speakers doesn't matter at all. If their work is shit, they deserve the tag. They took other peoples' jobs and disrespected the project they work for.

I'm not a DT but I tagged all of them.
I like it when they apply in Indonesian, Croatian, Spanish and every other language lol.  Roll Eyes
