HI All,

Sorry if this question is not here, Im a newbie Smiley. Im would like to play with the file format of the ledger (where the transactions are stored) a stupid program that counts the number of transactions on one file and things like that. As far as I know, the transactions are stored on some type of format, where I can see the specification of the format of the records? On the other hand, where I can download a small ledger as example? I don't want to download the 150GB if possible Smiley

Many Thanks!

The grue lurks in the darkest places of the earth. Its favorite diet is adventurers, but its insatiable appetite is tempered by its fear of light. No grue has ever been seen by the light of day, and few have survived its fearsome jaws to tell the tale.

Hello,

You can find on the developer reference the block chain specification. There also are multiple guides on the web on how to parse the blockchain. I believe this one is oflen linked.

If 175 GB is too much for you, you can try the testnet chain instead. It is only 15 GB. Launch your wallet using the -testnet flag.

Feel free to ask your questions when trying to parse the blockchain!

Hi, I'm just some random software engineer.
