Hi everyone!

My name is Jonathan and I am on the leadership team launching Woolf, the first blockchain-powered university with its own native token.

Woolf is in discussion with presale token investors now – presale token investors can contact us directly. We will soon be announcing both the official presale and the main token sale:  communications@woolf.university

Please join our Telegram Group to get the latest updates about the project and chat with the Woolf community (https://t.me/joinchat/HwlpWUcnfOwfkqhscWh66g) and be sure to check out our video (https://youtu.be/AfoDzY_CHp8).

Demos of the "check-in" procedure can be found on the website (https://woolf.university)  as well as recent news coverage in the Times Higher Education, Asia Times, The Australian, Cherwell and others.

We are working to address employment problems in higher education, inequalities of student access, and a frequent lack of personal teaching from professors. Woolf will be the first decentralised university with its own native token offering one-to-one teaching between academics and students.

This is NOT a spam. Please do read the Whitepaper carefully, and look at the news coverage on the home page.

I have never seen something like this before, a blockchain university? You guys are definitely thinking outside the box. This is really a one of a kind idea, as I wrote never seen something like this. I'm curious what can the students of the Woolf University do with the native token, and how can they enroll into this University?

Hi Zlatna, and thank you for your questions.

As our Whitepaper describes in more detail (see our website: woolf.university), the tokens will be used for tuition fees, payment of academics and various administrative processes. By using a simple app, every student will be able to enroll into the University and "check-in" for individual tutorials with good academics. However, admission for degrees and the like will depend on individual colleges on the platform and be based on selected criteria.

If you are genuinely interested, I invite you to join our dynamic Telegram community: https://t.me/joinchat/HwlpWUcnfOwfkqhscWh66g

Also, please consult our FAQs on the website (https://woolf.university/#/FAQs); this can be very useful to understand what the project is really about! Wink

 - Nice idea. However the only constrain I see is the lack of tutors offering courses on the platform.
-They offer courses on other platforms like udemy, courseera and they get paid in fiats which is always chosen by tutors over a crypto.Don't  you think ?
-I mean unless you  have substantial reasons why they would,I still see this as a big constrain.
-No-one really has time to read white-papers,you should also describe your project in a gist.

Dear Joel,

Thank you for your comments. Firstly, unlike other "online" universities which function on the same "centralised" model as traditional universities, the fact that the Woolf platform is built on a blockchain decentralised network will significantly reduce administrative costs (which are substantial in a traditional model, to say the least). In turn, this will enable us to reduce significantly the tuition fees for students and increase the tutors' salaries on the platform. This could be one incentive to use the platform on the part of tutors.

Secondly, Woolf is not an "online" university: as the network grows, we expect more and more on-site teaching to take place (e.g., a tutor and a student meeting in a local museum for a less on archeology or history). Other platforms do not facilitate this process but Woolf does.

Thirdly, Woolf is a "platform" just like Airbnb is, in the technical sense of the term. Hence, unlike other "online" universities, Woolf directly connects tutors and students, and this through an easy-to-use app. Furthermore, it is not open only to a limited number of academics like in a traditional university, but to ALL qualified academics who have the credentials to teach on a particular subject of their choice. This freedom and the the fact that the registration process is in itself easy may convince several tutors currently using online models to turn to this platform.

I do hope this makes things slightly clearer. For a brief overview, I encourage you to visit our home page and especially the FAQs section: https://woolf.university/#/FAQs

Our Telegram channel is the best place to ask questions and get clarifications: https://t.me/joinchat/HwlpWUcnfOwfkqhscWh66g

Thank you for your interest!
