Why the top coins can't scale?

The top coins can't scale but they are the top. The ones below it can scale but they don't have a working product.

Achieving high scalability is a difficult task especially with the traditionally popular algos.
With the popularity of a coin, a highly scalable coin becomes a slow one as the use increases.
I believe Ethereum is doing it's best to solve that issue. While it's still not a large issue for bitcoin except for the high fees.
