So I have a spare laptop and want to mine (litecoin or peercoin).  Is it possible with these specs:

Intel Hd Grahics 4000

I think it's openCL so should work...which miner do I use also?

Thanks!

Transactions must be included in a block to be properly completed. When you send a transaction, it is broadcast to miners. Miners can then optionally include it in their next blocks. Miners will be more inclined to include your transaction if it has a higher transaction fee.

It will, but slowly.  Not using it for anything else.

anything will have some kind of results, but may be 0.0001 like very small BTC compare to what you'd spend on electricity.  If the power is free to you at work, then simple gain for you while you sleep or drink beers!

Your electricity is free - nice one...! I'd have everything on 24/7!

However you'll have graduated and worked right through to retirement, before the laptop GPU will make you any decent money.
