Once a transaction has 6 confirmations, it is extremely unlikely that an attacker without at least 50% of the network's computation power would be able to reverse it.

I personally never had problem with btc-e.
Deposit is quite fast (but i use okpay)  and no problems with withdrawal either.
I had tried to contact their support once to ask some question. I found the process a little difficult but maybe it has changed now.

The only bad critics i can give them are  that I find their website a little ugly, at least the interface could be improved , but it looks like they made some improvement recently (the paypal logo has finally vanished..is it recent or did i just notice it ?) and some part of their english interface is not very well translated (some messages are still in russian)

I made my first trade with this bullshit BTC-E. Nothing even close to this is mentioned in terms, beside "new accounts not able to withdraw in 3 days"

I deposited EUR with international wire transfer. Bought 11 BTC, and this is what I'm getting when trying to withdraw BTC:

Money hold. 40608 min left

28 DAYS!! THIS IS ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE!

Read the information on their deposits page. If you haven't already sent over your ID, upon deposit you'll have to send it over because their bank requires it for anti-fraud. Once you send it over, as has been mentioned already, your account will be unlocked.

BTC-e is a good company.

Their support is excellent as well, I normally receive replies within minutes during business hours.

This is exactly what I assumed and I have no problem with it. But, please enlight me and tell me how can I do it? Write them an email with my passport scan? Where's that mysterious upload button for this?!?! Why is this not written all over the screen in capitals with a descent button and a procedure supporting this identification ?!?

Click Support on their site. IIRC you will need a passport or govt ID scan + utility bill to prove residency. Once you do this one time, you will not be asked to do it on future deposits. I actually liek that they like you trade immediately, but restrict withdraw until you provide the ID. That way you can't blame them for taking too long to process ID so you couldn't get coins at the price you wanted.

I found out from their tech support that any change of password or email address will lock out your account for any withdrawals for 2 days.  That's why I was unable to withdraw funds.

liqpay will soon be available.

Question: There is no LiqPay yet?

LiqPay would really come in handy here in Brazil (well, I used LiqPay a lot to buy from the now dead btc24)
