Winklevosses’ Gemini Introduces Cryptocurrency Block Trading
The Winklevoss twins, Cameron and Tyler, will launch cryptocurrency block trading through their digital-asset exchange Gemini starting on April 12.
The service allows merchants to buy or sell large quantities of Bitcoins and other cryptocurrencies and will compete with companies that cater to large institutional traders.
Brokerage companies have been established in Hong Kong, Australia and other markets to meet the demand for hedge funds and similar institutional buyers. One of these services, Circle Trade, carries more than $ 2 billion in digital asset transactions each month.
