Unreasonable error rate?

I just got my 30 GH/sec BFL miner today. You can see in this screen shot the 30 GH/sec as "BAL 0" and the 60 GH/sec one as "BAS 0". The number of hardware errors from the 30 GH/sec is far beyond the amount from the 60 GH/sec.

Is this thing dumping way too many errors, or is the 60 GH/sec one just really good?

od say it is pretty high. i found a trick thet works with my BFL gear unplug it and sit it infront of a fan untill the case is stone cold then plug it back in you should get far less hw errors

That's only 1.6% hardware errors.  Usually anything under 5% is good for ASIC's.  So I would call the one good and the other phenomenal.

Also is 69C the normal temp for those?  My Jalapeno runs at 35 to 39C.  When I had the case on it ran at 44C.

i can say only this is normal. the Jupiters has a much more hw errors, but have had problems with overheating of cores. the more warmer it gets the more errors you get. the heat were always the problem by physical processes on silicon cores... so try to open it and mount another fan...

Part of it would be oldblocks being solved, but yeah the temperature of the miner does take a toll as well.

Theres other factors on top of that, which can lead to problems. I read a thread about a similar problem, I`ll link it if I can find it..

I agree with os2sam, it's not terrible.  A good setup can run .4% reject and .8% HW error rates, at least that's the best I can do.

The 69C would be my concern, get some air moving on those.
