Depending on the coins or token. If it is ethereum based wallet then I keep it in online wallet. Some coins I have are in the cold storage while others (mainly masternode based coins) are in their own wallet connected to internet. I have some exclusive in the exchange wallet but I do not recommend it.

Well, it depends on you. In my case, I hold all my coins in an exchanger which is KuCoin for my trading then I also have a local wallet for my coins or token which is Coins.ph for encashment. I would recommend KuCoin as exchanger because I have never encountered any problem using it especially with a cheap fees for transferring to other wallet.

I use electrum for the purpose of BTC storage. Off course it can be opened up with the private keys only so that forms most secured way of storing your BTC.

When it comes to the altcoins, then I use the most common wallet that is MyEtherwallet. This one is best when I have to store my crypto tokens or coins. It has highest security level if you use it properly. Tech keystone feature is what excites me lot for using it.

I keep all my crypto currency, except Etereum, on the Bittrex exchange for more than 1 year and no problems have happened. But, the sum of my savings on Bittrex does not exceed 500 dollars and this crypto currency I use for trading. The whole Ethereum I keep on myetherwallet.
