technically your problem is still there if you want to run the normal gui wallet.

the wallet-Lite doesn't download the blockchain on to your pc it just connect to a remote node
that's why the wallet-Lite will be always at 100% sync
just so you know

I have to say this is quite an interesting topic - giving to charity with crypto and mining. I am interested to learn more about these opportunities where charities are also voted for.
How do the charities then get the amount? I guess they have to pay taxes or?

The current method is a poll posted on Discord and Telegram (Soon to change) this gives us a list of charities the community choose and then the next stage of voting commences where the most votes win. The last two giveaways we have given the items / cash to the charities in person. Some of the charities will deal with tax, but this is all dependent on the country.

yes, I know that there are false positives. Especially for miners.
But the wallet is not a miner, developers need to do so that there are no false or no antivirus actions, otherwise who will be able to install the wallet on their computer without fear?

at this point in time even cli's shows up as a virus, basically any thing that have to do with cryptos
even if the crypto ecosystem agrees to change the base code of all wallets the new version will get add to most AV database as some sort of virsus or trojans

best thing you can do is to research a bit go to the coin discord and ask ppl about the wallet if you are in fear

lol, it is very convenient to send a user to a discord.
Probably this is so that there are no uncomfortable questions here ))

By the way, do not tell me tales here, that all wallets are defined as a virus. For many wallets, VirusTotal shows the absence of viruses and Trojans.

My turn to advise))
you need to learn to listen to what the other person is saying, rather than trying to close his eyes to the problem.

lol, you know that im just trying to help here right ?

To be clear im not a dev dude.
I don't know why, but i think you think i'm a dev base on what you just said.

Schmeckles23  &  StandardPro are the devs

edite: i get your point on the discord, but in my experience you get help on discrds faster then bct.
like the stellite (XTL) discord there always people there to help with wallet problem ( there wallet shows up as a Trojans to btw, just want to put that out there )

If you look at the wallet commands using 'help' you will see that our wallet has a miner built into it 'start_mining'. Source code is open source and you are free to recompile the wallet and daemon for yourself.

It makes no sense to compile the wallet yourself, if I can not read and understand the code (and I can not, unfortunately).
Just wanted to say that it would be better if there were nothing suspicious in the wallet, it would positively affect the trust of users (I think you have an interesting project).
In any case, I install the wallet on a separate hard drive, disconnecting all other drivers.

We have submitted our source code to Antivirus vendors and now we have to sit and wait. Majority of miners see this same variant when mining other coins and even mining software is flagged with a similar variant, you have nothing to worry about Smiley
