I will suggest you to participate in bounty campaigns and earn some altcoins for investment. In case of your investment you should buy ETH or BTC first and start trading at low profits. Best altcoin which I know is MTC or LOC. You can also check some new ICOs for investments at bounties section of forum.

Best coin to invest on today is Ethereum. It is so undervalued for a cryptocurrency that has growing mass adoption everyday. New apps and services are being built on the ethereum blockchain and it is expected that value of Ethereum will overtake bitcoin. It looks like everyone here suggested Ethereum as the best for Beginners investment. I too agree since a lot of ICO is going-on under Ethereum's smart contract. From my own understanding, Ethereum price went low that is becuase people have invested their funds to different ICOs which split the total funds in the digital world. But sooner or later, Ethereum price will definitely go back to $1000+. You better HODL as much erc20 tokens or Ethereums as you can.

For the newbie the BTC is the  best to invest and the next is the ETH because the two coins have the potential for you to earn big. Then if you have already a strategy in investing then it is the time that you can invest on other altcoins. For the newbies you have to study first the strategy on how to invest so that you will know how you will buy and earn big in crypto market. Learning is the best to do so you can earn big not learning and studying first will lead you to lose your investment. Here in crypto market you should study it first because it will be hard for you to earn big if you have a few knowledge or you do not know how you will invest.
