Electrum 2.4.1 NOT syncing.

hi can anyone provide a solid IP and port to sync to, it's been a few days and nothing is working.

im going to switch over to Windows TOR wallet since this version im using isnt syncing well.

Electrum v2.4.1 may be safe from the bug but it's outdated, what's keeping you from upgrading to the latest version?

I hope you do not think to this TorWallet , becuse you will lost your coins.You are using very old version of Electrum,and it is not strange that you have problem with sync,so backup your seed/private keys and download latest version from official site Electrum

your problem is most probably not with electrum nodes so you don't need IP and port. the problem is that you are using an outdated wallet which doesn't have the fixes of at least a dozen new versions on top of it.
upgrade to latest version and if you still had the problem then we can discuss possible solutions.

when in the reply page, there is field called title on top which you can change.

I'm guessing that the OP is NOT using BTC version of Electrum... but "Electrum-XVG" for Verge available from here: https://vergecurrency.com/

This is based on:

1. The version... 2.4.1... this is the "latest" version of Electrum-XVG
2. Mention of a "Windows TOR Wallet" which is also listed on https://vergecurrency.com/

i went to the site and downloaded the one they have posted right in the center which is the "Windows TOR Wallet" i assume thats the latest and greatest.

They have 2 window wallets on their site the TOR wallet and the Electrum TOR wallet, which should i be downloading. running windows 10 here.

First what you need to do when opening thread is to be more specific,so for start change title to Electrum Verge 2.4.1 NOT syncing.We have Electrum for BTC/LTC/DASH/BCH also,so it help when we know on what you thinking.

You have two options , Windows Tor Wallet and Windows Electrum Tor Wallet, so you should download one at a time and see which suits you better.You
assume good,wallets on official Verge site should be latest version and as HCP say 2.4.1 is latest Electrum version.

Read some comments on that Reddit link HCP posted(I just check and it only open one post with servers-so click on show all comments),and I hope that something can be of help to you.

Do you have Tor Browser installed? If not, make sure to download and run it before opening your wallet.

it helped thanks i synced up now im moving everything over to the windows TOR wallet.

Well if he actually is referring to Electrum (non verge) the reason why it's not syncing properly could be due to Segwit transactions.

I used to use an old Electrum version 2.x and all of a sudden it would halt at syncing all of a sudden.

After hours of reinstalling I tried version 3.x and it worked. Turns out if you get a single Segwit transaction the sync will stop at the block due to an error which it doesn't recognize.
