These days its general to see new twitter scams wherein these people try to fool you with asking for Ether in return for 3 times more.

A fake account on twitter for LaLa world and many others are there.

Please dont fall victim of this trap.

The original LaLa World Twitter account is https://twitter.com/MyLaLaWorld
and Reddit is https://www.reddit.com/r/LaLa_World/

We have been seeing this a lot lately and it's our duty to warn the community every time.
Don't just give away your hard earned money.

LaLa is Traded only at Coss, Qryptos and Cobinhood.
Any new exchange that might be using our name is not official LALA Token Exchange. If you come across such posts, kindly share it over our bitcointalk thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2268691.3360

This is definitely not a first.

Yobit's tweets on twitter are all flooded with similar scams, with the scammer commenting on the tweet, that there is a x amount of ETH to be given away, but there is always a catch that you have to send them money first.

I remember that Binance had similar issues as well, their twitter was flooded with comments of the same nature. CZ even had to put in "not giving away coins" in his twitter username at one stage.

Goes without saying that all of these scammers are in no way related to the actual exchanges/coins/ICO teams. They are merely using them as a platform to spread their scam. Don't ever send funds to a stranger expecting more in return, especially on twitter. Always check the legitimacy of the twitter account before you believe anything that it says as well.

I read about a new form of scam; they place eth addresses that have some tokens and no ETH, then they show you the pvt keys; you send in the ETH for gas so that you may take out the tokens; but it has a smart contract which automatically sends the tokens and ETH to the scammers address.
I haven't seen this one; but does sound ingenious if true.  Shocked

a group of scammers hacking authenticated Twitter accounts, then changing the account name to a famous company and asking users to send to a specific address for gifts.
This has happened to @Binance accounts, hackers turned the authenticated accounts into the name of this company and began to scam others.
The problem is that Twitter has restored the accounts without taking serious steps against this problem.
Just check the username and not the blue flag.

Scammers are impersonating official Binance accounts and tweeting to ask for deposits to specific addresses in return for gifts.
You will lose your tokens if you do this!
Binance will never ask you to send coins directly to any address for any reason.

At the same time, you can admit something. Who is dumb enough to send some ETH. If someone fails into the trap then not only the person should stay away from cryptos but shall cut off the internet connection directly.

In the old time, you could get your account verified with the blue check mark for $250 but after the verifications are not open anymore it is harder.
Older than that there was a trick to get the blue check mark, once Twitter figured about, it was removed, but it was here for a long time.
