Hi,

I made a relatively big deposit on monday. the money has been wired to mtgox bank on tuesday, since then there is still no news of the money into my mtgox account (I've well added my mtgox account number as a reference for the wire).

I've open a request on the support desk on wednesday. They first asked me to provide a screenshot of the wire confirmation which I did and now I've got no news from them.

This start to be stressfull and I'm very angry right now because bitcoin rate explodes in the meantime!

What can I do? What can be the problem?

It's impossible to contact them by phone or chat, do you have any advise?

You have to be patient, you can trust them, but they are very slow...
And don't forget most international banks don't like Bitcoin coming up.

Thanks for your reply. I wouldn't be worried if SEPA was not supposed to be fast. The money has reached them the day after I made the deposit

MtGox are really slow and on top of that I believed they had a national holiday last week, so I'm sure things piled up even more.  At MtGox, they have domestic Japanese employees there, so each transaction will be treated a bit slower but with special care!

Also, I believe MtGox use Mizuho Financial Bank there.  The Mizuho recently was in a deep Kaka for financing Japanese Mafia for a few USD mills.  They must be paying extreme caution to process every bit of financial paper.

As far as reading financial updates from Tokyo, they are in trouble in America but not in Japan.  They seem to be in sync with their government so, at least we don't have to worry about them just pop/close the door on us without a notice.

well sepa transfers take about 8-10 weeks at this moment to reach your account.

So basically you will receive your funds in 2014 , but there is a way out, you can pay the 5% emergency fee. Ask the support about that.
Then it takes about 1 week for the funds to reach your account.

The OP is talking about a DEPOSIT, not a withdrawal. Deposits should be very fast indeed. There might be something weird about the reference code or something, if it's taking this long.

Hey, np Smiley

About the reference number, I've well added it to the field "reference" and I've sent them a screenshot of that.

I've had a answer from them during the night. Good news, they lost the money:

We have forwarded your request with high priority to our banking team to locate the delayed deposit funds and add it to your Mt Gox account. We appreciate your patience and we will keep updated once the funds are located.

I have still nothing in my account and it's now 8 PM in Japan.

I sent an international wire to Gox 12 days ago, submitted a support request 2 days ago and have yet to receive a reply.

How else can you contact them?

Deposits to Mt.Gox are generally relatively fast.  Then you have the privilege of buying bitcoins on the most expensive exchange.  In future, I would recommend buying at Bitstamp, where you can get a better price.

Normally, market arbitrage avoids large variances between competing exchanges, but it's impossible to get fiat out of Mt.Gox, so it's basically a one-way exchange.  You can deposit fiat and purchase bitcoins at high prices.  You can theoretically also sell them at high prices, but since you cannot withdraw the fiat, it's a pointless, frustrating exercise.

Mt.Gox is quickly losing market share because if this fatal flaw.

Tips much appreciated! 1PPJHDawPvjh6MEzsvXrMYLgpLmyAaNXUc

I still have nothing.

Do someone knows any other ways to contact them? I'm really starting to think I won't see my money again.
