What is to blame for the collapse of Ethereum prices in just three months, following its upsurge to nearly $1,400?
Underlisted are what I thought
1, regulation. 2, The exchanges and 3, Mining profitability:  The price of Ethereum is governed not only through speculative actions, but also by mining profitability

The massive dump already happened, its only positive form here on out.  The price crash was just linked to the whole market, everything crashed it wasnt just eth.  Maybe the new eth asic mirnes had a small affect on the price but everything just mostly follow bitcoin's trend.

1400$ price spike was obviously a bubble. People got too excited about Ethereum and overbought it. Now it seems like ETH is oversold and we should see a steady price rise. ETH is an awesome technology, it will eventually rise to 10k and beyond. The only question is "when?".

If you want blame something or someone, I really there is no need to do that this down surge is normal when we are having a bear market right now, You don't need to pin point anybody on what is happening to the market of Cryptocurrency and many coins are experiencing something like this not just Ethereum, But my opinion will be to blame certain whales manipulating the value of bitcoin and other coins are affected because of this, But let's just all wait for the bull market.

We don't know what are the really possible what happen why the ethereum decreae the price but for sure the price of this coin will increase again all we need to do is to buy more ethereum and hold it and don't sell it. For sure sure your money will grow once you buy more ethereum. Because this one of the possible to become number coin in cryptocurrency.

You can't say Ethereum is dead just because of a simple crash. Cryptocurrencies do not revolve only in regulation, the exchanges, and mining profitability. I believe Ethereum is a top-tier coin and I trust its development throughout the years. It will be good for a long-term investment. And the only thing we have to do is to become patient and hold unless you need money right now or in the future.

I don't think Ethereum's price has anything to do with mining issues. The great price crash already happened from 1400$ to 370$.  Ethereum's price is connected to the whole crypto market in general. I believe we already passed the dip and now is the time to load the bags with ETH. We will definitely see the 1400$ ATH and by the end of the year even more.

nothing to blame
its just natural for the correction to happen
https://www.coingecko.com/en/coins/ethereum
ethereum has just gone up too much too fast thats all, and it should go down fast too and find a steady price

I think one reason causing this one of the hardest crash is regulations about ico, and it was really overvalued, isn't it? This is also because of ICOs.

Ethereum didn't collapse. It was the whole cryptocurrency market that collapsed. In fact, it was Ethereum that held on the longest. Bitcoin already dipped to $6k usd and ETH was still hanging on to $900. Ethereum has nowhere else to go but UP!

Heres a tip for you: Buy it cheap now while you still can.

Ethereum and other altcoins are down as for the moment. When the BTC is down so everything will be affected. Let's wait in the 4th Quarter of this year and I bet it will back to business...

There is no one that could tell you the right answer because most of the people only speculate the reason why ethereum had to drop its price the same way that happened with bitcoin, and who knows maybe ethereum and the rest of the altcoins decreased too because of the drop of price of bitcoin itself.

Because the entire cryptop market collapses. Not only ETHEREUM. After people rushed to buy ETH it went down from $ 1400 and now it's $ 400. but no need to worry. This is the cryptop market. Our job is to have as much ETH at this point as possible. We will soon see ETH return for more than $ 2000. by the end of 2018 or mid-2019

But the important thing is about the regulation because all if icos are getting threatened by the law from the governments. It looks like the condition is conducive right now.

How more and more countries become ico friendly countries.

Exchange can't be considered as a part of the main reasons.

About mining profitability, only the ethereum core developer can fix this problem and make it less and less profitable to avoid inflation.

Well firstly bitcoin began a correction. Everything followed after him. Then ICOs started to unload their stashes that they collected. It was a chain reaction of selling. Hope it will recover soon
