I’ve been following the Genesis project for quite a while and I like it a whole lot.

It appears they have a family of three platforms based on the same source code:
1. eGaaS for governmental projects (private distributed ledger),
2. Apla Enterprise Network (public permissioned) for businesses, and
3. Genesis (public, non-permissioned) as a sandbox for developers.

With eGaaS and Apla they’re working on big eGov-related projects (currently, proof-of-concepts and pilots) in UAE, China, India and Europe.
Here's their official info: https://gist.github.com/c-darwin/a9a96a4eaae16c0d410f34e434594132#why-is-genesis-unique

Genesis has a very nice integrated development environment. I've been reading through their documentation and playing with interface pages and smart contracts (which they have many included in the quick start pack, and they are easy to build). Doesn't look too difficult, and all working nice.

Here are links to their quickstart installers for Linux (https://github.com/GenesisKernel/quick-start) and Win (https://github.com/GenesisKernel/quick-start-win/releases). This installs virtual nodes so that you can try and see how the platform actually works. Main project’s link: https://github.com/GenesisKernel/go-genesis Give it a star if you like it!

If you have a GitHub account older than 1 year old, you're eligible for the free airdrop from the Genesis team.

I'm open for discussions and exchange of opinions!

It's funny that most of the discussions in this thread is about cryptocurrencies without discussing their actual use. Why the hell do you need them? I'm giving you an example of a real platform with real government-level projects on it, and on which you can create your own cryptocurrency in one click, and how do people react - they skip the discussion Smiley Looks like all you're interested in is buying and selling some stupid useless coins. Please tell me I'm wrong! Smiley
