It is very hard to pick a number. My guess is somewhere in the $ 1-5 Trillion  range once crypto sector marketcap breaks above its old highs.

Guessing the exact amount is hard but I think cryptocurrency market cap would reach 500 billion above. But it still depends on the new users and investors that would support cryptocurrency. But as of now the performance of cryptocurrency is good. Let's be optimistic to reach the highest predicted cap in the forum.

My prediction is at least x10 times increase of all crypto within end of 2018. I say this because Bitcoin price will rise to x10 or x15 times from the current price and all the altcoins will follow that trend and at the year end every altcoin will reach at least x10. Most of the crypto is based on Bitcoin price.

the only reason why total market cap went up that much last year was because there was a surge of two types of things:
1. ICOs where a large number of tokens which ridiculously huge supplies were created (imagine 10 billion token each worth $1 which increases the total MC by $10 billion in a blinking of an eye then multiply that by the hundreds of ICOs)
2. lots of forks of bitcoin each creating about 17 million coins (some 170 million) and their values were between $1 and $500 which increased the total market cap by $17 mil-$8500mil respectively and more.

we will continue to have these things but not as much. the number of ICOs has decreased drastically and may soon go near 0 even and the bitcoin forks are no longer coming out which means the total market cap will continue to decline because all of these tokens and shitcoins are falling in price even if their supplies are huge.

in other words we won't see same bloated total market cap anytime soon!

agreed on that last year is a phenomenal and wont happen again soon,though were running good now markey cap reached over $300 billion things that we dont see for more than a couple of months,and the indication that taxation day on US is clearly taking effect and will see more good things after april17 when it's totally ended

312 billion dollars is very low and soon people will realize how good coins can raise with strong marketcap grow. So I expect to see at least 1 to 1.5 trillion dollars, its very possible as we reached $800 billion dollars in last pump.

With more institutional money coming into cryptocurrencies and we see a repeat of price run that happened towards the end of 2017, then the total market capitalization should be in trillions, so probably between $1 - 2 trillion.

If this matket did not crash again and bitcoin price can break $12k resistence then bitcoin can reach its new all time high which in my prediction could be potentially at $100k and also whole market cap and altcoin going up. After suffering through a terrible bleeding, it is not a very easy task for the digital market to reach 1 trillion dollars by the end of this year but I am also hoping the same. Bitcoin is predicted to touch 30k dollars and I am sure it will be going for 40k dollars at least, this means all the altcoins are going to become expensive too. If this happens, there are chances that total cap touches 1 trillion dollars.

Just crystal ballin' here, but a mc of over 500 billion would be very nice EOY. Anything higher would be amazing to my portfolio, but it would probably mean that more projects have their own mainnet, actual products and actual usage....and right now I wonder if that will happen for all of those big ambitious projects.

Higher than 1 trilion....somehow I hope not, rather have a big clean up where most shitcoins are removed with their respective market caps...time to only allow for real projects instead of bullshit projects just for a quick buck.
