Hi. I'm a BTC newbie from Portugal (can't post on the Portuguese-specific forum). I am validating myself on the devcoin.de exchange site.

I'll buy bitcoin through SEPA transfer.

How much time does a SEPA transfer take when issued by a Portuguese bank? Anyone has this experience?

These are their deadlines:

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Offers for sale

Making payment and confirmation of payment by the buyer: 60 minutes
Confirmation of receipt of payment by the seller: 36 hours
Minimum quantity for setting an offer for sale on the marketplace: 0.1 BTC
Default duration for setting an offer for sale on the marketplace: 35 days
Minimum duration for setting an offer for sale on the marketplace: 5 days
(If no buyer has reacted to it, the sales offer may be cancelled prematurely manually.)

Purchase requests

Making payment and confirmation of payment by the buyer: 18 hours
Confirmation of receipt of payment by the seller: 36 hours
Minimum quantity for setting a purchase request on the marketplace: 0.1 BTC
Default duration for setting a purchase request on the marketplace: 35 days
Minimum duration for setting a purchase request on the marketplace: 5 days
(If no seller has reacted to it, the purchase request may be cancelled prematurely manually.)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As I understand, the SEPA transfer has to take less than 36 hours, but I am not sure if portuguese banks are this quick...

Portuguese people, what is your experience? Thanks!

I bought ~1.1 BTC using Multibanco some time ago, via https://btc.pt

Parasitic 8% fee though.

23% of which is tax(VAT). And you get your Bitcoins in 10 minutes or less in most cases.
Disclaimer: I work for BTC.pt

BTW, curado71, there is a section on the Portuguese forum where you can post as a newbie. It's called "Novatos". BUT, you're already a Jr. Member and you can post wherever you want.

I know a guy from Portugal who uses it. Has no problems.
