I downloaded the MultiBit program and requested the transfer of 1 Bitcoin I had just purchased. I saw it was showing in the wallet and so I password protected the wallet and went to close the MultiBit program but the program froze. I had to click the x to close it in the end. Re-opened MultiBit and no wallet. Nothing in appdata\roaming\multibit either. No wallet, no Bitcoin. Brilliant.

Do you have the private keys ?
Search if you have them somewhere.

No longer active on bitcointalk, however, you can still reach me via PMs if needed.

Some say set something up to where if a wallet goes unused after a certain time, to raid it and reintroduce those coins.

To unlock your wallent you will need to use your unique phrase to allow the site to unlock you. This way you will be able to login and can recover your lost money. i think so.

Multibit sucks.
By the way, I will try some recovery soft (even better booting from some linux liveCD).
