SHould I run 1 1000 watt PSU or 3 400 Watt PSU for my 3 7970 and how much watts of a power supply do i need to run 3 7970 gpu's

SHould I run 1 1000 watt PSU or 3 400 Watt PSU for my 3 7970 and how much watts of a power supply do i need to run 3 7970 gpu's

1000 watter should work and it would be less wires.  here is one on sale

i'd think the 1,000 watt would be fine for 3 gpus,   if all the computer does is mine

thanxs ya i hope last i mined it was bad i couldnt run my 3 gpu's and had alot of problems

 I had 3 7970's on a seasonic platinum  that worked as long as you did not oc like a mofo

You can use 860 watt PSU if you wanna save some money.. or 2 400 watt...

1000 Watt PSU would be better... Multiple PSU is just too messy....

run 1 psu, differences in voltages from multiple PSU's can cause power feedback, which is very very bad

I would advice to buy 1000 Watt PSU but it is about 30-40$ more costly then if you buy 2 500 watt PSU. Worth the trouble and problems...

If you wanna make back your money fast, go for mutiple cheap PSU.....

Are you going to overclock much? Cause 800-900 Watt PSU should be good enough... its way cheaper..
