The booming price of bitcoin over the last year has created a buzz around cryptocurrency that goes far beyond technology enthusiasts and free market libertarians.

It has also helped draw attention to a number of other virtual currencies looming in its shadow, most notably ethereum.

Ethereum was created in 2013 by a 19-year-old Russian programmer and launched in 2015. For the first two years its price remained below $10. Then, in 2017, it exploded. In the space of 12 months, one unit of the cyptocurrency – called an ether – surged in value to be worth around $1,400 at its peak in January 2018.

While its price has since fallen back down to around $500, many still see it as the most promising of all cryptocurrency platforms, and therefore the one that holds the most potential for future price gains. Some even believe it could one day surpass bitcoin.

Ethereum is definitely the most popular platform, however projects are now moving away from Ethereum one such project is BlockGrain.io

For me yes it is a good idea while ethereum is still on 600 usd plus because I know it will goes up again as it is moving up again slowly at this moment but either of the two, Bitcoin or ethereum is a good buy for me for long term investment. If i am to advice,  I would say, divide the money into two, use 50% and buy etherum and use 50% to buy bitcoin. Using this method, you just diversified your investment and you would be safer doing it that way and growing your funds

Both Bitcoin and Ethereum are  the two great coins so far. Investing in any of them is a good idea but will be smarter if you divide your money and invest in both. Perhaps, 70% for BTC and 30% for ETH. Bitcoin has already left the greatest legacy with its bullish rise being incredibly great. Ethereum is just second to Bitcoin.

I see it too, Ethereum is one of the best potential altcoin, besides bitcoin, Ethereum is also very good for us to make investment for long period of time, if we want we can have Bitcoin and Ethereum, both of which we can make to be able to get a huge advantage of course.
