I've never thought that I should quit indefinitely, just because I've never really spent more than I was willing to lose.
But I have taken extended breaks from gambling, especially when I've last a couple of sessions in a row.

It's just good measure to take a break from time to time and by that I mean a couple of weeks or months even.

Listen, brother we always takes from work in two different conditions. Firstly, either we are so much aware of our loss coming out there or we are really tired of doing so great in a row. Like you have said, these loss is just because of the reason that gambling isn’t the source of income. People have disconnected it and therefore when they loss every session they just make lame excuses of taking breaks.

Sometimes we take a break to save more money, its good to chill out sometimes, fill bankroll and only than to have a fresh start. Maybe its hard to understand but its good to take breaks when you lose but its good to make the breaks when you win too. Making breaks is good for mind clearing, in gambling its important to have that, to be able to think and calculate.

The way you express it, it seems to me that it hasn’t been a huge problem for you (yet?), but if it is, or if it becomes, try to leave gambling forever. Even if it’s not a big problem now, I would consider looking for help.

The last statement actually sums it up. The fact that the OP is not seeing any problem with losing even after that particular moment makes it more like he actually cannot just shift the idea of not gambling from his head but can still accept the idea of losing.

It is normal if we had the wrong perception about gambling in the first place. I am so guilty with this, everytime I lose in the game I would say that I would never come back and quit gambling for good but sadly I can't keep my words . And now straight in a week that I am not lucky maybe I will lay low again for a while and look for another things or option to make myself busy.

Whether or not it's only been a few days or a few months, if you have tried gambling and experienced winning, then it's definitely going to be a thing on your mind that you are going to reminded of that win. It's easy to win with that but really risky,  it's your choice to deposit or gamble.

Focus on the things that is more important to you, if are already addict in gambling seek for someone to help you quit in gambling. Its hard in the first attempt but you can survive on that for sure. Gambling will make you broke in the end of the day so better to quit early before its too late.

Honestly, It is difficult for someone to get away from gambling, especially when he/she is addicted with that field, And unfortunately this is common in the majority of gamblers and could not even control themselves or their feelings after every major loss or even a huge gain. In my opinion, these are the best steps to quit gambling, especially after a great loss:

1- Accept the truth (What's happening to you) , and just deal with it:
When you lose a lot of money then you must accept this loss, and overcome it, without  blaming yourself or something else, because that does not change anything.
Then, you must deal with it ,  by compensating the loss, you can even start a new business field.

2- Control yourself:
The most essential thing is how to control yourself in difficult situations, and it will be through controlling your feelings or internal conflict, Such as, the greed and false hope.

This is what I am talking about when one is stuck on an infinite loop, wherein you are trapped into the illusion of recovering your losses through gambling. Meaning, the cycle of gambling is never ending. When someone wins in gambling, they tend to gamble more and if they lost they gamble AGAIN hoping that they could recover their losses in a similar manner. Your attitude towards losing lacks self-discipline and control as you do not know WHEN and HOW to stop.

I do not blame you though, as it may be really difficult to exalt yourself from this addiction but you need to fathom that gambling will only make your situation a lot worse from before. Consider your losses as something that cannot be regained and move-on to a next chapter in your book.

Gambling is fun and entertaining but if got hooked with it then you just entered a trap. No matter how many great strategies that you think is effective in winning consecutively, you can't just win continuously. The only best thing to avoid losses is stop gambling your money.

No gambler can recover his loss by gambling. Even if someone does, the number of such gamblers would be a tiny one.Though gambling is a game of luck and there are always fifty percent chances of winning or losing but still, people lose more.
