Share your views about what do you think on which coin is the closest competitor to BTC and will soar its price many times its current value in coming years.

The answer has been obvious since the day it's immaculate design has graced our existence. This particular cryptocurrency is head and shoulders above pretty much every other piece of trash that's been touted on these boards. I am of course referring to the only real alt coin, BitBar.

I'd say LiteCoin, simply because it's the most well known after BitCoin.

I think that if another coin succeeds, and that's a big if. It'll be one of those which compliment bitcoin rather than compete against it.

Examples would be

Mastercoin(the one built on top of the bitcoin protocol, not the shitty altcoin)

Peercoin(inflation/proof of stake/Designed to be a storage of value akin to gold to Bitcoins paypal/visa/mastercard-ness)

Namecoin(For domains)

Etc...

Curecoin, from a pragmatic and ethical point of view in terms of more meaningful output vs just mining to secure a blockchain. Peercoin will also be up there due to being the first with proof of stake and having an active development team behind it.

What are the differences between Curecoin and Primecoin?

What are the differences between Curecoin and Primecoin?

Curecoin incorporates protein folding using GPU processing as a complementary component to ASIC mining, whereas Primecoin finds prime numbers. Could even run both simultaneously.
