Bitcoin price raised by $1000 within one hour. Is it a good signal?

As we all know that all other cryptocurrencies prices tend to follow the fluctuation of Bitcoin. Today morning BTC price went up by $1000 only just within an hour. It's been a while since this big jumps. What do you guys think? Is it a good signal for all of us?

a big ass drop is a good signal for bitcoin, a signal to buy bitcoin at a big ass discount. but when the price has risen it means you failed to buy the dip and missed the discount day and now you are going to be forced to buy at a higher price and keep on missing out on further rises when you miss out on buying at that higher price!

Since the night has indicated the existence of bullish, now true happened and in my opinion it is very fantastic with the value of Bitcoin up $1000 in one night. As we expect this to happen continuously because Altcoin definitely follows the bitcoin value.

Yes this is indeed a very abrupt yet positive price increase in bitcoin!  As to the reasons why it has increase nobody can tell yet, if this is another hype will i guess it has successfuly encourage new investors. These price increase was for me possible in a the month on May but it blow up in just a matter of 45minutes wow.., this is so amazing..

Depends on your attitude, its really alot safer to buy into a rising trend then constantly try to guess the bottom price.    Also it depends on time scale, do we watch price by 5 minutes, half an hour, 4 hours or a day.

Watching price by a day and deciding its a good rise is perfectly reasonable.   Alot of short interest was stopped out in this rise and thats why it was so abrupt, just like a leveraged buyer will quickly get stopped out.

My personal take is to measure the rise by the fall previously.  In those terms also its done well and I consider it very bullish it didnt need to confirm back to 7200 or even go below 7500 in the immediate selling after a rise.  Theres always some waiting to sell just after a rise, thats a healthy market to have both buyers and sellers waiting.

So this area upto 8100 is a place we went sideways on the way down and it take a bit longer on the way up also I think:

this is more like a good sign than a good signal.
this rise proves that the demand for bitcoin is still pretty hot and there are a lot of traders standing on the sidelines with a lot of money in their hands waiting to come back in. they went out and stayed out ever since the sideways and unreasonable drops started to happen and market became hard to predict.
to be 100% sure I would wait until end of today and see what will happen. if the rise continues it can be signal for the bull market on the horizon.

The large spike was down to a large investment from someone or some group of people somewhere. While it in itself doesn't mean that much, the knock on effects are what's important. People take it is a promising sign when the price spikes like that and then they feel more confident in purchasing bitcoin, or more confident in holding their existing holdings. This is what I believe happened and lead to the continued and steady rise from $7000 through to $8000.

It is a good thing and it was due from long time. Thus it was stored form months which just got burst out and raised that much in short time. So nothing much to worry as from couple of days it is still trading at 8k and above and seems to be looking for another bull run.

It's probably not a signal of a bull market. Although some people think that it is, I simply do not see any evidence of the momentum that is required for this pump to result in a outright trend reversal.

I would actually not buy right now because prices are high compared to previously.

As pooya said, when prices drop that's the real signal to accumulate. Right now, the rise in price is just that, nothing more. Not really a signal, unless you're a trader and you want to take some profits from your buys @ the dip.

It's not a trap mate. The sudden rise is shocking but it's not a trap, due to the fact that we've been slowly moving after the correction. And of course why it was on high, you shouldn't buy when the price is at the top. But if you believe that it will rise soon, then you should buy.

I consider it as an indication that the bear market is quite done.

The more violent the move the less inclined I'd be to trust it, especially when it's in a market as uncertain as this one. Amateur and FOMO money has probably vacated and now all that's left is bots and whales all trying to fuck each other over.

Possibly the price corrections takes place after sudden fluctuations may occur because of some investors decided to grab this good oportunity of selling. Indeed, if you have to think of huge profit you'll not to decide quickly to sell early because the signal right was just a temporary signs which is showing us the signs that price may rise even more higher than now. So for now, its a good idea to grab the low price buying and that investments will eventually grow for a few months when bitcoin's price pump's higher. Good and certain signals isn't having high and low fluctuations, but instead the trend is upward movement of the btc value.

This is indeed a very good and encouraging improvement for bitcoin price increase. For many months we have been waiting for price  increase and this now is very positive movement. I hope that it will continue to increase. Many are still hoping for more increase for the previous months decrease of price and they are hoping to recover soon..if it will continue to rise this will really make investors to join the cryptocurrency industry making the market more lively and profitable.
