It's not widely known, but Canada was responsible for 90% of the defense of the northern Atlantic convoys during WW2.

Our participation is the war has often been described as "1% of the population fighting 10% of the war".

From the UK here, and I recognise that without Canada and the US the war would have been a different story.

It's Remembrance Day here too.
