Hello guys,

I've got a question.  Currently i'm mining with GUIminer and have bitcoin-qt as wallet. I'm trying to solo mine but after waiting for 2 hours still no hashes have been accepted It just says : Difficulty 1 Hashes:0

I know some of you are probably going to say that solo mining is not worth it but that's not what this thread is about.

What i do:
Boot Guiminer -> Launch Bitcoin Client as server -> start mining.

I follow the tutorial on how to set up GUIminer and everything seems to work fine, accept for the fact nothing is showing up.

When i look int he console i just see this:

2013-11-12 12:35:28: Listener for "Solo Cuda": Done allocating CUDA resources for (128,32)

And a whole list of that.

Any Idea?

Thanks

Sorry but couldn't resist..

assuming you had an Nvidia GTX680 (120MH/s)..

it would take 580 years to solo hash a block on average.

Seriously don't waste your time and electricity on this! Cheesy

If you really want to mine on a GPU first thing you should do is sell the Nvidia, and use the money to buy the equivilent AMD/Ati 7970 (640MH/s) it's 5 times faster!

Then seriously consider Litecoin instead.

I knew this was coming hehe. Actually have gtx560ti. 70mh/s.  I see this as playing the lottery. I have my computer on so i might as well use some power to mine and have a CHANCE to magically solve a blockchain. Also i'll look into litecoin

If you already have BTC, you should consider buying GHS in the market, and make them work for you... less hassle for an equivalent ROI.
