Any btc transaction is irreversible. Please use an escrow service.

If they dont agree, thats a red flag.

You can post their name here if they are a member of this forum, so that we can all give (-ve) trust rating to him. Also you can inform police, they might track his ip if you know his email or bitcoin id.

That's a bummer man.  Sad
Unfortunately if there is any way to game a transaction, it will get gamed with bitcoin. Anonymous cash brings out the crooks. Trust no one.

I agree with some of the others who have posted, post here all the details you have on the whole situation, at least maybe that way others won't get scammed too.

Yeah, I agree. This can benefit everyone. I mean no one else wants to get scammed on here.. so less scammers, better transactions.

Did this happen on this forum? If so, it could help the community a great deal to know who this is -- certainly if he was foolish enough to use an alt account tied to the same IP as real account.

Unfortunately you can't get the money back but if he's from this forum click on "Trust" below his username, type the risked BTC (3) and mark that you're giving him a negative rating, this will stop him from further scams but he will probably create a new account which will give him the possibility to scam again..
he will still have to do some work until he gets out the newbie jail so you can at least rate him so we make his scam a little bit harder Smiley
it's the least we can do..

This is not an acceptable question.
How can you own 3 btc and ignore things like that?
Always trade with trustworthy users.
Please provide data about the scammer.

Well, I'm sorry I don't buy this! How can you send 3 bitcoins in the first place, without knowing or using an escrow?
It seems you're post hunting myfriend and everbody else in here joined the party with you.
In case you did lost 3 coins... well.
