Hey everyone!

For those of you who don't know me on here.  Me and my girl have a glass etching business where we do Custom Etched Beer/Coffee Mugs, Wine/Pint/Shot Glasses, Champagne Flutes, Picture Frames, Mirrors and soon to be custom engraved smoke pipes! As well as custom decals!

Right now we have our Bitcoin love, but are in love with the fact of Cryptocurrencies as a whole. If there is a way to accept payment for the currencys you suggest and for the items you want, we are open to it!

*All Items are Custom Etched on request (Personalize it with business/personal names, etc)
*If it's glass or mirrors we can etch/engrave it! *Vinly decal requests are single color items (Bicoin decals will be up soon)

What would you guys be interested in? Designs/Logos? What currencys do you want to see accepted? (And to help us out, what do you recommend for a site to accept those currencys?)

Hey everyone!

I have been in love with bitcoins since I first started hearing about them! I am by no means a beginner and have full faith in BTC which is why my family based business has decided to startup www.Bitcoindirect.net.  The current ones we have done are coffee mugs, beer mugs, pint glasses, and shot glasses that have the standard bitcoin logo.

We accept payment in bitcoins for all our custom etched glass! If you don't see something you would like to see on these glasses, let us know and we will work something out! Or if you see something you want and would rather pay by credit card or paypal you can let us know and we will direct you to our other site.

Thanks! All comments and suggestions are welcomed (constructive)

I just looked at the site and it looks good.  However, the shipping looks a bit high - 80% of the cost of the glass.  You may be able to get a little cheaper shipping in the USA with USPS flat rate boxes.

That actually is with USPS priority flat rate boxes.  And that's not necessarily including the bubble wrap and packaging supplies to ensure it doesn't break in transit.  We have been doing custom glass etching on Etsy for quite some time but under the name of Sketch-N-Etch.  If we have enough people we could slightly lower the cost in product but that of course goes based on the amount of glass we buy and material to etch these items.  I would love to see all my fellow BTC enthusiasts and miners have a drinking glass or coffee mug with them at home and at work.  So what other feedback do you guys have?

ie. Would you guys like it if there was an option for paying with either BTC or paypal?  What other products would you like to see up there, or designs?  We can also do decals as well.  Thanks, any input is welcomed!

Thanks for the comment!

Makes sense

I would make this more of a point on the site.  I saw it only when I looked on the site for the second time.  I think that there needs to be something to make you "look like a reputable vendor" - maybe some more pictures of products that you've done, a picture of yourself, or of the etching machine you have.  Just my thoughts on the matter because the whole shopping with BTC is rather 'new' and people need a way to trust.  Not saying that you aren't reputable but people have been scammed before.

I like the paying with BTC, it helps the bitcoin economy.  What kind of decals?

Thanks Chris_Sabian!  Will do, yea all other items we have done are NFL, MLB, Fraternity, Sorotity and Organiziation items!  Currently we are getting into the wedding scene and of course the Bitcoin collection we have which we are using around the house while watching the price of bitcoin rise!  We will get on that right away!

In terms of decals, it's a single color plotter so they are actually decals not stickers that wind up never coming off or tear the paint off of vehicles and walls.  And that's why I placed that option up there, we will be making Bitcoin Accepted decals for vendors as well as standard bitcoin logos.  Have you seen requests from people?  Or any ideas you may have yourself?  I figured the glasses are an easier sale because I personally enjoy using my coffee mug in the morning before knowing I have my car decal but I will rush on demos if there is a market!

Thanks!  Yea I guess I didn't assume that people would think eye glasses.

And Chris_Sabian here you go, our about us page has a picture of me and the girl responsible for these masterpieces (If I may say so myself lol) and in the store section I have a link to a quick gallery I signed up for.

http://bitcoindirect.net/gallery.html

Keep the comments coming and suggestions!  What will it take to get these Bitcoin Glasses in the hands of all bitcoin enthusiasts?!  If we can get a group buy I can work out pricing then as well but I'm not so familiar or reputable yet on this forum to make such a thing happen.

Thanks for the help everyone and we will keep putting out these works if you keep the ideas coming!

Thankyou to our first customer who purchased a Bitcoin Pilsner Pint Glass!  If you are on this forum, please be sure to comment on here when you receive it!

With regards to any potential concerns people may have with the site or company, thanks to Chris_Sabian for bringing it to our attention.

We have attached our picture to the About page that shows me and the girl who are responsible for these pieces of art.

Our contact page shows our display table at one of our local bars (The Loophole in Denton, TX) as Sketch-N-Etch.

Our Store page has a link to a gallery that has some of our previous works

And to prove that Sketch-N-Etch and BitcoinDirect are in fact the same company I have added a subdomain to our Sketch-N-Etch page at bitcoindirect.sketch-n-etch.com

Hope this solves all potential doubts.  We will in the meanwhile take some pictures of the plotter and start working on decals as well.  Any suggestions for more designs, or decals that you all would buy please be sure to let us know!

Thanks for all the replies and hopefully this is one extra business to help in the exchange and growth of BITCOIN!

Snuff,

We have one ready for you for shipment as soon as your ready!  We made a few extra when my girl made the one for me to drink my coffee out of in the morning!  Thanks for your support!

Also we have added ourselves on these sites as suggested:
http://www.coinmap.org/
http://usebitcoins.info/

Still trying to find the place where to add us in the wiki section.  I see they're alot of 'sticker' companies on http://usebitcoins.info/.  What we produce are not stickers but true marine grade vinyl that is not a full square or circle sticker with the logos printed within it.  Our vinyl is cut around the lettering and logos so that you can place it on boats, cars, business windows, etc which allows for visibility through the cut out regions and is set to last 5-7 years with no damage to the area that you peel it from.

Would it be worth it for us to offer these?  It is more costly then a sticker maker, but it is in fact what we do for business windows and cars.  Also are there other communities you suggest us putting our product up on?  Thanks!

LOL Steelboy that's the one thing i miss about the UK.  Except I didn't realize the difference when I first went over, until a couple pints in I remembered the 4oz difference!  I'm sure I could rustle up some 20oz glasses if your serious.  Thanks for the support!

Looking to gain reputation points and to show the quality of our product ASAP to the Bitcoin Community.  What would you guys recommend on getting the name out there?  Would anyone be interested in setting up a group purchase on one specific set of glasses if we were to lower the price as an introductory offer.  We would love to have people using our items as well as helping with showing the community the quality of our glasses and our speedy delivery.  Thanks for any replies!

Also what kind of decals would you all be interested in seeing?  And we don't have gold vinyl yet, we were going to order it in from our supplier.  Is that the color you all would like to see decals done in?

Thanks again!

Yup, it helps with growth and expansion of BTC!  The more useage of a currency the greater value it has and better chance for success!  Me and the girl feel the same way about it so we are circulating ours into the market as well.  Bitcoin Glasses and Mirrors we felt allow people to show their love and pride for Bitcoin and it's an excellent conversation piece.  The more people that know and get involved, the better chance of a even greater opportunity for crypto currencies.

Maybe next we will do LTC for ya lol.  Thanks for the feedback thou!

PS Thank you to those who made the few sales we made today!  Please if you are apart of this community once you receive your items post them up for us and share your thoughts and opinions!

One think that I thought of when looking at the gallery, how about making a bitcoin logo on a glass plate.  Where they 10x10" or so?

Something like this:

GENIUS!!  Well I was thinking of doing it on a 12x12 mirrors that we have big hits with.  Or doing on the mirror 'bitcoin accepted here' logo.  But we have done something like that for one of our personal friends who works for lockheed with their circular logo on a circular mirror so that it could be posted on a folding stand.  This is the one we did for him

Doable for our own bitcoin version on something similiar if there is a strong enough interest but to do those we would be looking probably around $15-20usd per each plus $10-12usd for shipping.  That's just my estimate but I can check that all out tomorrow.  Is that something that would interest anyone else?  And Chris, would you be interested in getting one?  Thanks for the feedback!

I would pick one up if it was circular like in the picture.  I like the look of the F35 one so having one like the bitcoin picture would be pretty awesome.

I would also try to submit your store to the http://www.reddit.com/r/bitmarket
You may get some more exposure there

Thank you sir!  Sorry i've been MIA, just did a 100 glass order for a wedding.  Guy is a tattoo artist so of course he drew up his own design in the tradiational american style tattoo style and had us etch his design on mason jars.  But we will certainly get this mirror bitcoin produced and up for show to see how much interest besides yourself it will gain.  Thanks Chris!

Also waiting for gold vinyl to come in for producing some bitcoin decals.  If anyone has any suggestions on what they would like to see, please be sure to post!
