I believe in this statement, as now it seems that market changed the trand and everything is going up.
That is why it is even possble that it will reach $1000 in 30days (remember the end of December 2017).

Because the market seems to be very bullish right now that is why the possibility of that would be higher,as we speak bitcoin's value is trying to break the resistances at $8k ,if these resistances are broke surely most of the altcoins are going to skyrocket including ethereum itself and most of the coins in the market.

Those are not ETH competitors, they are only trying to "imitate" what ETH has. ETH will be always number 1 for altcoin and number 2 in cryptocurrency under bitcoin.

I would be the happiest person if this happens but it depends on a number of factors many of which are not in pour control. For instance, there is news of Soros entering the crypto market but no one knows, which coins he will be picking. If ETH is a major part of his investment, the prices will start skyrocketing.

However, the ETH investors need not worry at all as this coins will always do good in long run. Even in last 3 months when all coins including bitcoins was bleeding red, it did comparatively well .

Ethereum is in the second place after Bitcoin in the crypto world. I mean, if it wasn't Bitcoin, it would probably be Ethereum instead. If we think logically, so if Bitcoin's price is around 8k $, Ethereum's price should be 4k $. According to my opinion, 500$ is very small for ETH. We saw a price higher than 1k$ in the past few months, and we can see it again, if the market situation can be like the old one.
