Here is a really good article for people getting into bitcoin. It has a load of information and cites many of these threads as its sources. It answers most questions people might have if they are just starting to get into bitcoin and offers some insight about its price vulnerability.

I am glad to research information and give it back to this community. I have learned so much about bitcoin and I think it is here to stay but we all need to participate. It is people like you and me that make things like bitcoin work. Lets keep it going felllas! Let's all get rich on bitcoins!  Grin

Transactions must be included in a block to be properly completed. When you send a transaction, it is broadcast to miners. Miners can then optionally include it in their next blocks. Miners will be more inclined to include your transaction if it has a higher transaction fee.

Started and stopped shortly after "Bitcoin is operated on an open-source system that allows for totally anonymous peer to peer exchange without compromising the network’s integrity". By now it is well known that it is not anonymous, and the rest of the sentence is nonsense. What do you want to achieve by adding " Nerd :p :" in your text ?

Damn it, couldn't resist and read a bit more. There are no extremely complicated mathematical questions being solved during mining, ugh... can you please take the text offline and review it entirely ?

It is wrong too, very wrong. The computations are cheap, you just do a lot of them till you get lucky. There is no hard problem being solved.
